I used to love The Dreaming, but have recently come to the conclusion that overall (there's at least one mighty exception) the songwriting's too weak - compared to say Hounds of Love or Aerial - for it to be one of my favourites. Some good noises though, especially Leave it Open.

I've never actually listened to/paid much attention to The Dreaming - I was put off by the Mockney accent in 'There Goes a Tenner' and didn't bother with the other tracks :/ Time to dig it out...

Her most interesting and yes, curious album. Kate's discography is so fantastic that it's difficult to find a real high point. Maybe Hounds of Love was her commercial peak but The Dreaming will always be my favorite. The work of a genius, an artist so profoundly attached to her creation rarely comes to us with this amount of creativity. Masterpiece.
