For the fans of one of the world`s finest folk music bands.

Värttinä (Finnish for "spindle"), are a unique blend of the traditional Fenno-Ugric musical heritage and elements of jazz, rock and pop music. Their style is characterised by the dramatic vocal polyphonies of the three lead female singers, irregular rhythms and atmospherical experience rendered by the 6 musicians who all play acoustic instruments.

Värttinä have been spearheading the "world music" genre for about 20 years now and are currently promoting their new album "Miero". They are also the coauthors of the music for the The Lord of the Rings musical, premiered on March 23, 2006. in Toronto.
