  • I love these guys at Lovely Recovery

None of the artists at Lovely Recovery are known... yet! I have a sneaky feeling some of them will be soon.

  • Dainty Records

hi, i'd like to share some of the criminally underrated (altho I'm biased of course)artists from the Dainty Records stable. There's Anton Rothschild - sort of weird depressing outsider indie folk, or on a lighter note there's some sprightly electronica from Plush Concept... amongst others. And loads of free mp3s n'all! thanks, dainty

Two German artists which I think are not that well known outside of their country:

    Indie: http://www.lastfm.de/music/Gods+of+Blitz

HipHop: http://www.lastfm.de/music/Curse (german texts, but even if you dont understand, still great music)

    EDIT:
And I think the band BOSSE needs attention, too.

I recommend the songs "Tanz mit mir" and "3 Millionen" from the current album "Taxi", unfortunatly they're not online on lastfm.

    Progressive/Lounge rock

I really like the musician Ian Narcisi whom i found here on last.fm. His music is great and it creates this sense of nostalgia when i listen to it. I believe his music belongs in the progressive rock genre

You can also check out some of my music Michael Zgliniecki. It is some form of guitar oriented lounge rock, due to a lack of a better description.

    Enjoy =P

Have a listen to some music i've made:

  • "Girl's Guide To IDM"

I don't know if she's THAT unknown, but Lektrogirl is one of my all-time favorite heroes of electronic composition. And Magz (if you can find her song "Cold Star" I highly recommend it!). And well, I'm Sylvie Symbiosis.

  • just found this guy - johnny_ripper - its like electronica/ambient, kinda like Röyksopp

  • Phear the almighty backspace!
  • Waterplea - progressive ambient/experimental

Hello everybody, my name is Alex and I'm a member of Waterplea. I'm a huge music lover and enjoy wide range of different genres and styles. Few years ago I started learning to compose music myself for I had an enormous craving for expressing myself through some kind of art. Since then I have been progressing as a composer, wanting to make something quite serious before I start to share my music with people. So this summer, after nearly half-a-year of work on my first complete musical project I finally finished what was waiting for. I wish to share with you my sorta album called Dream Catcher. It is some interesting and diverse atmospheric electronic music, based on ambient and incorporating a lot of influences from other genres, such as new age, idm, progressive, chillout, etc. I hope some of you would like it and I'd be glad to hear some comments if you'll have anything to say about my music.

Oh, and artist connection would be great if it's possible ;)

Check out my music (IDM/Progressive Ambient/Chillout/New Age and more):

Jennifer Grassman -- indie singer-songwriter from Texas. Main instrument is the piano and her beautiful classically trained voice, of course. Her compositions include classical pieces, singer-songwriter ballads, rock/pop songs and a slight touch of Gothic feeling. Nice lyrics and talent.

Fritz Hayden -- indie singer-songwriter from Texas as well. Unfortunately, he died in a road accident last year. His music covers acoustic rock songs as well as country-esque up-tempo tracks and some singer-songwriter alternative. Nice voice and heavy on the guitars. ;) Just some real good Southern music.

Obél -- indie newcomer from Denmark. Her songs are very acoustic, at times minimalist but intriguing. A beautiful and fresh voice adds the "je ne sais quoi" to piano sounds and other instrumentation. Worth a listen in any case.

O for a voice like thunder and a tongue to drown the throat of war...
