    so what's everyone's take on set yourself on fire? i think it could possibly be one of the sweetest indie pop records i've heard in quite a while...

    Definitely enjoyed it (particularly that song about W.), but I think I liked Heart a little more. I guess I'm still a sucker for hook-laden catchy songs (i.e. elevator love letter, death to death) in the end. Set Yourself on Fire is a fantastic album and certainly more substantive, but I haven't quite gotten used to its more sober mood (in comparison with Hear, anyway) yet...

  • i completely agree... although the slower songs are definitely growing on me the more i listen to it. also the new de novo dahl strikes a similar cord with me... they're both really catchy pop albums that just ooze beautifulness...

    I think that Set Yourself on Fire was excellent. Highlights of the album: Your Ex-Lover is Dead, Reunion, What I'm Trying to Say, Soft Revolution, and The Calendar Girl. Oh, all those songs are so good. The album is general is really catchy, I thought.
