  • Gilaventi, i didn't mean to target you))...i can see you are a real fan...no problems there...

Bloody_Cruelty, yes thanks i am satisfied)) sorry i didn't mean to offend anyone...sometimes i do take things seriously when it comes to football...sorry abt that...

In my view, a real fan does care about history whether it's good or bad...but i can see what you're saying about the father-son thing, Gilaventi...or did i miss your point? there's a little story about that in spain...the details are sort of missing)) but i remember the main part :
"- Dad, why do we have to support Athletico Madrid? They really suck...look at Real!! I Wanna be a Real Madrid fan!
    - No, son...Unfortunately, u can't...that's it...it's in the blood"

Anyway, i wasn't talking about that at all...for me a "real fan" definition is not just limited to a person who lives in the same area where the team is based and has a history of supporting this exact club for generations...it's someone who cares about the team...the city...and can support the club when it's doing good as well as when it's going downhill...
    does it make sense, guys?

  • Yes that is a real fan. I just don't care much for history simply because it can't be changed. You can look back and admire, I suppose, but when its before your lifetime, it really isn't something that is a part of YOU. Look back on your lifetime sure, that's fine, but before and I think you're just jumping onto someone else's success.

I treat Chelsea's history before the 1990's almost as another club's, the only thing I do is respect the ex-players they bring round the pitch. As I would respect any other ex-player.

I used to support Chelsea when they were not very strong team. When i left to study in England the first thing i've done was to get a ticket from one ticket agency for Chelsea game-i will never forget my first game-Chelsea against Blackburn - it was a draw-0:0,but i will remember it forever.Than they become richer and they start winning-what-do i have to reject supporting my team for that.As a fan of Chelsea i was just one of the many happy people after that.

PS. i watched Levski(Sofia) last night against Werder(Bremen) and i would say that Levski are the weakest link in the league...did u just saw the first goal(it was own-goal actually)...

  • Gilaventi, i didn't say that history should always be admired... or not...it just should be recognised by a fan...respected, i suppose is the better word here...

Hey, what a game at Camp Nou yesterday..."mindblowing" can't even start to describe it...i am also surprised how it all ended without anyone being sent off and a fight or two...Mourinho is always such a bloody...demagogue)) before these kinda games...always ignites the off-sporting rivalry btw the teams...i guess that's why he is so popular with the fans...or is he?! a very nervous and on-edge game...but that's how it is when these teams meet each other...it has almost become a european clasico))...well, i have to admit..this time Chelsea were the better side...but it all hanged
    by a thread...

Levski keeper...yeah...that was unlucky...but funny))...Levski may well be the weakest team in the champions league at the moment...although you have to admit they were rather unlucky with the draw...Chelsea, Barca, Werder...

I'm really disappointed with Spartak Moscow...probably the second worst team in the league right now after Levski...16 seconds into the game and they were already 1 goal behind...what a shame

Arsenal - CKSA in a couple of hours...don't have much hope for this one....a point would be awesome...but i can see a disaster loss coming up for CSKA...Arsenal are really pissed off after that game in Moscow...and i mean really

  • Levski are not the weakest team in the League!!!!!!!!!!!!
They are not my favourite team, but are from my country
THIS WAS A SUBSTITUTE KEEPER.HE WAS 18 YEARS OLD.
the keeper that got in in the second half was also 18 years.levski didn't played bad in the match,it is their first year.they are in the toughest group and there is no reason for me to be ashamed of them!!!

  • So who ARE the weakest team in the Champions League?

lol-that means that they have no wins in the league-must be the weakest link. But Levski are weaker, because they play for first time and have only losts-these AEK at least got several seasons in the league. So i vote for the team from my country-Levski-the weakest!

  • I've changed my mind.
It is weird that Levski's goalkeeper who got 3 goals in 5 minutes is the son of The Bulgarian Footbal Unity's "Boss".
    Levski-Aek Athens 1:2
    That's it.

As for the national teams, I hope Barcelona does it again although the last Champions' I wanted Arsenal to win...but only because it'd suppose a money income for Seville, for Reyes and all. xD Real Madrid *ugh*, won't do much in Europe this year, I think they got it though enough in the League...they have a reputation to live up to and well, they aren't on their best times...but yeah, both got a big ego. I'd prefer a less known, unlucky team to win, ah, I dunno. Or PSV. I like PSV too. xD

As for the UEFA Cup, I want Sevilla to do what they did to Middlesbrough in Eindhoven last year, hell yeah. Next year, hopefully we'll get a place in the Champions League~
