    Many people say that everything this happened because
    he Tuomas felt something for the Tarja and this feeling was not corresponded. It was the impression that passed. This can be answered? Or not?

    I promised that everything was going to be answered.

    To cut a long story short, in October 2004 I needed to ask Tuomas to come to talk to Tarja and me in our hotel room in the middle of the tour.

    Even though he knows Tarja many years before me, he never could achieve his goal.
    In this meeting I clearly told him that his chances to be with Tarja were gone.
    I needed to tell him that there was no reason to keep on trying any longer, since I married her.

    As usual he didn't speak much, but he said to me that nobody was going to be able to stop his love for Tarja.

    After this unhappy meeting, everything changed.

    The guy that until then said in interviews that, without Tarja, that would be the end of Nightwish, changed his message into: Nightwish is my band, my music, my lyrics, the scenery of my soul.
    Is up to you to check all interviews from the band before and after end of 2004 until today.

    Tarja never changed her thoughts about her position in the band.
    She has never mentioned that Nightwish was her band or that she was more important than the other band members.

    Nightwish lyrics are Tuomas' life diary, as it has been said. With this new information that I am sharing with you, please check once again some of them. We all can find amazing songs with beautiful lyrics full of poetry. Their meaning won't remain that uncertain any longer.

  • Tarja did not deny saying: "I don't need Nigthwish" or "Remember, Tuomas, that I could leave this band at any time, giving you only one day's warning in advance".

    So unless that is explained we can't believe anything.

    Plus. Trajas letter was signed by Jukka, Emppu, and Marco as well. I know that you're thinking that Tuomas may have forced them to sign. But really...can a band hold together with such issues amongst them?

    And...did he specify any songs?

    He's just a silly jelous man about Tuoma's sucess, he just wanted to give us a wrong image of Tuomas, I never belived a word of that master passion greed.

  • I will believe in nothing till Tuomas or Tarja says it.But i suspect there was something.Anyway, it's only a suspicion and i think the whole truth won't be revealed in a near future, if it'll be revealed at all.

  • I don't believe a word Marcelo says. I think he's a jealous and bitter man. And he's sorry that Nightwish didn't fall after they kicked Tarja out... Remember that it wasn't Tuomas alone who signed the letter. I believe it was true and that was the way they felt at the time. But even if there was "something", so what? It's pointless to think about these things. We will never know. I'm glad the band survived and the fans didn't abandon Nightwish after this incident.

  • No, it is not pointless if you think about Nightwish lyrics. And i said it was ONLY a suspicion, nothing more.I'm happy for the band having not ended, too.

    I don't really care about Tuomas' lovelife, I've never cared whether he was in love with Tarja, I still don't. Ofcourse it's a matter if it ruined the band, but I don't think it did. Tarja was so upset with the band after the whole event so that if she knew this was what made them kick her, she'd tell the press. She has never told the press about Tuomas' possible love for her, I think she would have. I personally believe Tuomas may have had feelings for her, I mean, come on. They've known eachother from that Nightwish started in 1996, when they both were around the 20's. She's a pretty woman, talented like hell, they share interests, they must have been pretty close too. Ofcourse emotions can develop, but I don't think they were so deep so that he developed it into hate.

    indeed, marcelo looks strange and Tarja is really to good for him, hehe :D

    As said, I don't believe a word of this master passion greed lol, because I really think the change of tarja is his fault.

    I disagree... actually, I believe Marcelo did it instead of her by answering those questions.

    If he doesn't exist maybe Tarja and Tuomas could have been something...
    Or not...
    but the fact is that Marcelo is the "bad guy" in this story.

  • If Marcelo is such an awful person, Tarja will find out.And i think that everything will be revealed in Nightwish's new album(whenever is appears). I'll wait and see

    Really don't care much for Tarja at all, I like the band much more as it is now, but, I really don't think any of that is true.I also don't think Tarja is a bad person, and I don't think Tuomas or the rest of the band are either.I think it was probably really painful for all of them.

    But if that all were true, like was said I bet she would have said something before now anyway.

  • Bad or not, Tarja used to make Nightwish's sound harder.
    Now the band lost more fans than it won with Anette. Nightwish are changing their direction, we don't find the theme about Ocean Soul any more. When Tarja left, Tuomas' lyrics drastically changed, it's obvious. Nightwish will never be the same.

  • I don't think so, the lyrics change according to his emotion, he was really angry when he wrote them his next albums lyrics will depend on other factors, not Anette.

    I prefare Tarja but how do you know if they lost more fans than they won? Their last album has sold more than any other mind you.

    And since when does that ever matter! you aren't supposed to make music just so people like you

  • 90% of the people in Bulgaria prefer Tarja(I know that from Bg forums) and many of them dislike Nightwish now. DPP sold many copies in the USA. What music do they like? Mainly new metal. It's NW' most commercial album and they lost much of their identity with it. you are completely right about the fact that you don't need to make music just in order other people to like you but now I feel that NW are trying to do exactly that.

  • and how do you know they are being commercial? In Finland they sold 4x platinum. More than any other album they had before, apparently they like the new music.

    It hasn't changed that much either, it just seems so different because of the vocalist.

    And thats Bulgaria you're speaking of (and I'm quite sure you've not spoken to 90% the Nightwish fans), many of people I have spoken to in my country prefare Anette, and most people here prefare older metal bands such as, Iron Maiden, AC DC. (I know that because almost all the metal clothing you see is mostly of those two bands. Also when either of them has a gig here, the tickets disappear in the blink of an eye.

    They have the right they're style as much as they want, Century Child also changed their style a lot, so you would also be saying that CC was commercial.

  • In Finland half of the new albums sell platinum. it's natural for peole listening Maiden and AC/DC to prefer that style of singing - closer to their favorite bands. It would be more difficult to listen to operatic singing. And I've spoken to people who are not listening only to gothic and operatic(but also death and trash) and all of them prefer Tarja. I see you're listening to bands with lighter sound, so it's natural for you to prefer a commercial vocalist. In CC Nightwish developed their style, but didn't change it a lot. Oviously in Chile you're listening only to heavy metal.

    Secondly: I adore black metal so that argument wouldn't be of any vanity anyway. You say that almost every album sells platinum in finalnd? well this one has sold 4x platinum, meaning that its still a super seller.

    Does that mean? Commercial? But if you say people have stopped liking Nightwish then this would be a strange paradox. And what is the proof of them choosing Anette due to commercial success?

  • What??? NO! Tuomas in the nightwish official website said that the only feeling between he and Tarja besides friendship was music!!! check it out at the nightmail!!!!!

    He's like a dog with a bone, maybe he loved Tarja, maybe he just wanted her for the sake of wanting her, maybe he felt possessive over her - as a friend or more.

    Or maybe he just liked her as a friend and all the conspiracies are lies but that'd be boring ;)
    I personally think he loved Tarja because I think there's a significant amount of evidence to say that he did but there's a significant amount of evidence against it, either way until one of them personally (them! not Marcello or anybody them) says something happened we'll never know. After all nobody believes it when they say nothing happened haha.
    Either way I don't believe for a minute Tuomas genuinely wants the fans to drop it, his lyrics are always dropping hints even now =/
