• Hello! I just joined!
I got into Genesis a few months ago and I absolutely love them. My Genesis listening has gone up to the album Wind and Wuthering and I haven't heard any albums after that, but I'm sure I will one day. They are truly an amazing band and they helped me get into prog in general.

  • I'm 14, from Denmark, and I somehow got into progressive rock. Well, that is, my father has always been a fan of Phil Collins era Genesis (you know, No Son of Mine, Mama, Turn It On Again etc.). I liked it too, and ripped the Platinum Collection and Abacab to my computer. I started listening to Supper's Ready, mainly as a joke ("I'll just listen to this one song, then go to bed"), but I slowly grew very fond of it. I later bought Wind & Wuthering and A Trick of the Tail, both of which I loved. Sadly, the only PG era album I've ever seen in any store is From Genesis to Revelation :(

Here I Am, 15-year old german gil named Johanna :)
Hm, well I came to listen to Genesis after I looked (just looked) at the Cover of 'A Trick of the Tail' my father just got for Christmas. I begged him to give me the CD and well, upstairs in my chamber I listened for the very first time to Phil Collins singing the 'old stuff'. Loved 'Mad Man Moon' from that Moment on :)
After this, Daddy gave me another CD, Gabriel stuff this time. When I was a child, I've always been really afraid of Pete (Pa played the Eve-Game and the Cover of it always made me cry- don't like it still...) but then... I don't know how, I don't know why, but I absolutely fell in Love with this Band I knew from 'Jesus he knows me' and stuff (loved the songs, though).
That was.. two years ago now. And I still love the guys :)

    Hi everyone!
I'm a 24-y.o. Belgian girl, and as most here (or so it seems) a fan of the Gabriel-era Genesis.
I can't say I know much of the Collins-era, except the first 3. I can't really say why, but I've never felt drawn to it.
Together with some other bands, Genesis was sort of a gateway into progressive rock for me, a whole new experience and a whole new world :)

  • Hello fellow Genesis friends!

I'm from Alabama USA, and I've been a fan of Genesis since the early days. They remain my all-time favorite rock band, and that's saying a lot! I much prefer the Gabriel era, but do enjoy some of the Phil era as well. Progressive rock is my favorite genre of music.

    I don't believe I've introduced myself yet!

Well, I'm 17 years old and live in Australia. Genesis are obviously my favourite band, and I like all era's of their music. I also enjoy both Phil and Peter's solo music, they have some really good songs also. I'm aiming to buy the three box sets sometime, if I can find them and scrape enough money together!
