I was at the Hannover concert yesterday. It was really impressive. I was overwhelmed. Wow, what those old men still are able to do... ;-) The stage is in itself already a gigantic piece of art, but the material that is shown on the back of the stage has deeply touched me. Somehow, it all fit very well together, was well thought-through. The setlist was more or less the same as in Helsinki (maybe the same, I don't remember exactly). They started a little late, with heavy rain. Phil said "Scheiß-Regen", funny. He often tried to speak in German, which sounded funny. 48000 people watched the concert, many under the roof, protected from the rain. The light show really burst out with "Home By The Sea", marvellous effects. At the "first end", Invisible Touch, there was a not so small firework. Nice. Well, i loved the sound, even though Phil sometimes seemed a bit far away, and in carpet crawlers, his voice couldn't really mange the height any more. But all in all, it was good, really good. We left the stadium at around 11 pm, it started around 8:20 pm.
Great pics. I took a zillion pictures at the Rome show while camping out, but alas, my batteries died before the show actually started. I'm waiting to get my friend's pics, and then I'll post those.
Aren't there any Poles in this group!? Why isn't there a thing about the concert in Chorzów? =) What an atmosphere! Despite heavy rain 40000 people came and had such a great time! And Phil speaking Polish! "Fu***** deszcz" ;) Unforgetable!
