cliff is overrated. I like Di Giorgio , Christian gregg , jason newsted in flotsam and jetsam , and overkill's and d.r.i bassists , i forget his names :P

Cliff Burton, the virtuoso of bass guitar. He actually proved that it can be as awesome of a lead instrument, but still he was great at the bass when it comes to its main role - the rhytm sections.

The two Tom's. Angelripper and G. Warrior, along with D. Lilker, all had a really heavy, crushing sound.

Ron Royce from Coroner. Coroner's music is fast and complex and not anyone could keep up with that speed without making mistakes. Ron Royce is doing his job perfectly.

I'm with you man, Royce is simply the Thrash Bass Master, he rocks in "Mistress of Deception". And yeah, Cliff Burton is a little overrated.
