The Thorns is alternative country band (trio). Their music comes from california 60's pop, 60's singers/songwriters and from classical country and alternative folk rock music.

Who are the group...

The Thorns - that sounds cool and really brutal - it's like name for some heavy metal band. But it's not! The Thorns is alternative country trio. Their idols are Crosby, Stills & Nash (& Young) and other similar artists.

This group isn't only about that band. This group is more about group members. Who are they? First is pop genius Pete Droge, second one is Shawn Mullins and the last one is Matthew Sweet. And same question again - who are they? Droge had single If You Don't Love Me (I'll Kill Myself) - Dumb & Dumber OST; Shawn Mullins had big hit Lullaby; and Matt Sweet's biggest success was album Girlfriend.
