    Black Books or Futurama.

  • Stargate SG-1

Some people are like Slinkies... not really good for anything, but you still can't help but smile when you see one tumble down the stairs.

You only think the new Simpsons are shit because everyone else does.

  • No, I think the new simpsons are shit because I can only watch homer getting hit in the head so many times until it stops being funny.
The original simpsons had a storyline dumbass!!!
They had a beginning, a middle, and an end.
The new simpsons have a beginning, a new beginning, then somebody catches on fire, then the car stops working, another beginning, home gets electrocuted... and then the credits role. SHIT.

    Friends? (flame me)
Red Dwarf was fun, hmm... actually, most of the TV series that i watch are anime, so the best one so far for me would be...

    Chobits

  • Friends was ok, but I like sitcoms with the occasional black person.

Buffy, Angel and Firefly. Oh, what a surprise they're all Joss Whedon's shows.

Also worth a mention are Spaced, Father Ted, Black Books, The IT Crowd.

There are so many others that I absolutely love, and own on DVD, but I try to narrow down these sorts of lists to my absolute favourites. And then I add I few more.

I want to live, and I want to love, I want to catch something that I might be ashamed of.

Because I love Buffy, Angel, Firefly, Black Books and The IT Crowd, I think that we have similar taste, so I should go check out Spaced and Father Ted.

Wow! I have the chance to convert a fellow nerd to two brilliant Sitcoms! Since Father Ted was co-created by Graham Lineham (Black Books and The IT Crowd), you probably won't be disappointed. Also you shouldn't be disappointed because it's awesome.

And I've started watching Heroes on BBC3, so I've only seen the first four episodes, and although I didn't think much of the first two, I stuck with it because reviews and friends said that it got better after the first two. And it did. I think this is close to becoming one of my obsessions. I love my obsessions.

I want to live, and I want to love, I want to catch something that I might be ashamed of.
  • Right now the thing that I want to buy really badly is the entire series (all 6 or 7 seasons) of the HBO prison show 'OZ'.

I'm completely in love with it.

Has anyone here seen Garth Marenghis Dark place?

That may very well be in my top three Tv shows ever, I laughed until I cried while watching that show.

On reading this nearly a year ago, I looked it up, found out that Matt Berry and Richard Ayoade starred in it, and decided that it was definitely something I ought to watch.

And a couple of weeks ago, I did. I bought the DVD and don't regret it. Hilarious. I love quotable TV. Thanks, Hayden!

Must get round to buying Man to Man with Dean Learner.

I want to live, and I want to love, I want to catch something that I might be ashamed of.
  • The Hitchikers' Guide to the Galaxy
Doctor Who / Buffy the Vampire Slayer
CSI Las Vegas / House MD
    Twin Peaks

So much music, so little time (John Peel)
  • House is pretty fantastic.

  • Am I the only one who loves So You Think You Can Dance? ? Love it! ;)

Some people are like Slinkies... not really good for anything, but you still can't help but smile when you see one tumble down the stairs.
  • I love Dance and Idol, but only those first episodes where they're working with the nutters and the young go getters. It's equally hilarious and awesome. But once they get to the finals stages and all of that top 40 nonsense, I tune out.

  • Antiques Roadshow, The Awful Truth, Batfink, Believe Nothing, Black Books, Bottom, Broken News, Burn Notice, The Chaser's War on Everything, Death Note, Dexter, Doctor Who, El Nombre, Elfen Leid, Hairy Bikers' Cookbook, Hardware, Hornblower, House M.D., Iron Chef, Life, Little Bear, M*A*S*H, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, The Mighty Boosh, Mythbusters, My Family, My Hero, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Nerds FC, Porridge, Pure Pwnage, Pushing Daisies, Red Dwarf, Rocko's Modern Life, South Park, Stargate SG-1, Takeshi's Castle, Top Gear, The West Wing.

  • Black Adder

If I had to pick only one series, Black adder would definetly be it.

    Runners up are:

    - fawlty towers
    - battlestar galactica (original 1980 series watched them as a kid each and every friday, yes, I'm that old)
    - dr. House

  • I think i wrote somewhere here around page 1 or something, anyway, update:

Farscape, the sci-fi-show that sometimes drops acid. Oh and Claudia Black is like the most beautiful woman ever.

Firefly, would give 1-3 toes for that show to continue.(yeah I've seen the movie, it's just not enough.)

Oh and yeah, like hayden said, Oz rules, one of the best shows ever.

Humiliation is only humiliation when you choose to suffer.
    - Chuck Palahniuk.
