Why does it hurt when I pee? (The Elitist Minor Ailments Thread).

Minor, because nobody wants to hear that you have cancer. That's just depressing.

I've got a sore neck from sitting over my laptop too long. It makes my left eye twitch like a supervillain.

Good point. Maybe we should indulge the more treatable forms of cancer, but stipulate that anything more serious than that must be accompanied by an amusing anecdote.

dropped out a couple of months ago, most likely going to change course than repeat the year.

I have tonsillitis / strep throat right now which makes it a bitch to swallow and an impossibility to eat anything. This is the third time this has happened in about 1.5 years and they still won't let me have a tonsillectomy. Fuck this shit.

My minor ailment would be that I see eye floaters (pretty weird huh?). They are actually pieces of gel that float around the vitreous, or inner part of the eye. These can be annoying when reading a book, but I've learned to ignore them over the years.

I've seen these little buggers since I was a kid. Fortunately they aren't a major medical problem, just a nuisance, and my optometrist has repeated that they aren't anything to worry about.

Same here. Didn't know what they where called until just now, mind you. I've never been to see an optometrist.

My back has been hurting, apparently a combination of stress, sleeping on my side, and not sitting up while using my laptop, so I got my boyfriend to massage it for me Friday. He cracked it for me, which was helpful, but now it's still sort of sore in several places.
