Politics Politics Politics!

  • Romney kind of creeps me out. He reminds me of the really corrupt politicians on tv shows and all that. He seems quintessentially presidential, but in the way he looks and acts alone. I don't think he should actually be president at all. Maybe it's the gut reaction too, I don't know, but he almost seems too much like a politician to be allowed to be a politician.

I'm so glad I'm taking political science this semester with the election going on. Should be exciting.

That was then, this is dumb.

I bet Guiliani would have won in a landslide if he would have campaigned with "Rudie Can't Fail" by the Clash.

  • ...Elitists for McCain?

    We should endorse him!

we're like a union, but a lot cooler

We live in a nations full of bigots!

  • I am much less excited about my political science class today than I was yesterday. No one in my breakout group follows politics at all, apparently. I had to answer just about every question about the primaries this morning, and I don't even speak in classes when I can help it.

That was then, this is dumb.
  • way to be back in school!

  • :(

That was then, this is dumb.
  • Oh just wait, there will inevitably be some know it all Republican dude and a very outspoken liberal chick. THERE ALWAYS IS. (I am occasionally the outspoken liberal chick.)

    love, music, wine and revolution
  • Yeah, I think I'm going to be the outspoken liberal chick.

That was then, this is dumb.

My professor worked on the Bush-Cheney campaign.

    Both times.

And taught Karl Rove in some graduate seminar after Rove had already sold his million dollar campaign company. I bet that was awkward.

  • i'm teaching "american radical thought" this semester and hoo-boy, if there are any know-it-all republicans or outspoken liberal chicks, they haven't said a damn thing yet. i guess we'll see Monday. They have to create a first-draft manifesto.

I have heard Lawrence described as a small-scale Austin more than once, so good guess.

Lawrence scored its major coolness cred when William S. Burroughs spent his final years there. Could have lived just about anywhere, but ol' Bill made Lawrence his base.
