I've heard about them a lot from looking up electronic music but I never really listened to them. First impression of Homotopy to Marie is that there's some REALLY good musique concrete here but voice in more abstract music generally puts me off, so it needs to grow on me a bit before I appreciate it as much as I'm sure I will in the future. Yeah, future. Because I bet I'll be listening to these guys a lot.

    Rahsaan Roland Kirk - 5

Another guy I've heard a fair amount about but never decided to listen to. Before I actually thought he was a free jazz drummer, clearly getting him confused with somebody else entirely. Rip, Rig & Panic sounded surprisingly conservative to me, imagining what the hell a jazz musician who can play three instruments at once could make. Still really solid post-bop.

    Gregory Isaacs - 3
    The Pioneers - 3
    Black Uhuru - 2
    Steel Pulse - 2
    Clancy Eccles - 2
    Guava Jelly - 2
    Roland Kirk Quartet - 1
    Barrington Levy - 1
    Dennis Brown - 1
    Rockers Hi-Fi - 1
    Tom Waits - 1
    Sugar Minott - 1
    Derrick Harriott - 1

All of this was just me wanting to hear some dub and reggae. Discovered Guava Jelly this way, who I definitely need to check out some more later...
