    RJD2 - The Third Hand

RJD2's new full-length has found it's way onto the internet. It's called The Third Hand and, although I've only heard four tracks from it so far it's safe to say it's a MASSIVE divergence from his previous work.

It's certainly not hip-hop. However, that's not a bad thing, the beats and production are still top notch. I'm enjoying it. I'll up it later on.. time permitting.

  • this album fucking blows

  • i like the end of the album
the rest is a big disappointment

  • well, I've never listened to anything by RJD2 ever up to now- and to my virgin ears this seemed pretty good.

Better than that in fact - I found it really interesting melodically, sounding like strange, slightly off-kilter french pop, which I wasn't expecting.

Not sure about his voice as yet, but I'll definitely listen to it again, and I'm glad I downloaded it.

    Ta Nick.

french pop? that sounds great! :D
I actually loved some parts of Deadringer, and he is incontrovertibly a great hip hop producer, but still ... couldn't get into his last works, not at all. So, I'm quite curious about "The Third Hand" and will certainly give it a try ...

It's a strange one. I think there are some good songs on there, and the producion is sweet, but I'd have to agree that compared to his other works it's a bit weak.

I found Since We Last Spoke to be a bit dissapointing in the same way, a bunch of good songs, and a bunch of weaker ones.
