    damn i had no idea this was the dude from can
    the shit he contributed to sixtoo's chewing on glass & other miracle cures was amazing
    that was one of my favourite records of '04
    learn something new everyday..

    anyway here is a link to his new collaborative 12'' with omar rodriguez-lopez of atdi/mars volta fame

    Consisting of a single lengthy track continuing across two sides
    of a 45 rpm 12", "Please Heat This Eventually" is a 30-minute progressive
    rock odyssey bridging two generations of sonic envelope-pushing. On this
    recording, the OMAR RODRIGUEZ-LOPEZ GROUP consists of fellow Volta bandmates
    Juan Alderete de la Pena, Marcel Rodriguez-Lopez, Adrian Terrazas Gonzalez,
    as well as Money Mark Ramos-Nishita (of BEASTIE BOYS fame).

    It's an ok record, nothing spectacular. Go grab the Cul de Sac/Damo Suzuki collaboration, Abhayamudra, instead. Much better, and Damo gets a chance to stretch out a bit. Besides Omar isn't that great of a improviser/composer/conductor.

    It is pretty cool Money Mark is on there.

    aside from suzuki, thats pretty much the main reason i checked for it

    i dig a lot of shit omar has been involved with but the dude needs to fall back on the peyote for a while so i can keep up

    however, i am enjoying this at the moment, as bizarre as it is at times

    cheers for uploading this wreckedangle, I'm always interested in hearing stuff Damo Suzuki is doing. You're right about chewing on glass and other miracle cures, that was a sweet record and I was quite shocked when I found out Damo Suzuki was on it!

    As far as Omar is concerned, I really liked ATD-I but the Mars Volta material, although I enjoyed it at first, is a bit too... you know.

    A thirty-minute rock odyssey? This could go either way, I'm hoping it's sweet and nice.
