wreckedangle, thaks a ton for opening this thread. Seriously.
I just downloaded your rip of Say It All, having not ever heard of Sondre Lerche before, and immediatly adored it. I think that's one of the best pop-rock songs since the Beatles. Anyways, it spurred me to go to the record store and get the Duper Sessions (well, that was the only one they had). Awesomeness.

  • wow.. if youre into duper sessions, i cant to hear how you react to Faces Down and Two Way Monologue!

Indeed, you've opened a WHOLE NEW WORLD for me!

I'm really just into his voice, and his songwriting chops... no matter if the music is soft singer-songwriter, rock or jazz.
I've checked out some of those 30 second samples on iTunes of Lerche's other 2 LPs. To me it seems like they don't sound much like the new songs. They're both pretty soft, with Faces Down being a bit harder and more pop-ish, and Two Way Monologue being more folky. ... did I get it right? :P

  • duper is like lounge jazz and unlike his other solo works as i believe about half those tracks are cover songs

faces down and two way are a mix between the folky, ballady, and pop styled songs
    mix between acoustic and electric
    theyre both must haves
tough for me to say which i enjoy better
but check youtube for the title track video off two way
its awesome, visually i liken it to a cross between weezer's buddy holly and outkast's hey ya

  • always good quality stuff

  • holy shitnuts
    this is awesome

I love my Oinks account, what are the ratio requirements at indietor?

    I make music
ersatz: adj. Being an imitation or a substitute, usually an inferior one; artificial
smile: n. A facial expression characterized by an upward curving of the corners of the mouth and indicating pleasure, amusement, or derision

Ratio Requirments are pretty lax. One must have over a 1 to get invites, but beyond that they don't limit you too much, only the number of torrents you can keep each day. Shrug, I've always kept mine above 1 so I'm not quite sure what the repercussions of a low ratio are. Oinks is alright, but goddamn its so cluttered. Something that gets upped is off of the first page in minutes. And the boards are absoluely horrendous, and there is no real sense of community. Free music and access to it is certainly a wonder though.

    *gasp* I love them boards.

  • this album just keeps getting better with every listen.
i may even like it more than two way monologues.
it's damn close that's for sure.

Thanks for that! I've been waiting for this since I found "Phantom Punch." I've only given it one full listen yet, but I think I like it a lot.

That was then, this is dumb.
