Alright folks, the band of the week will be Jamie Cullum to change it up from the rock bands we have had over the last few weeks. This Jazz ladies and gentlemen. http://www.last.fm/music/Jamie%2520Cullum?ac=jamie cu BIO -- Cullum released his first album, Jamie Cullum Trio—Heard it All Before, in 1999. A mere 600 copies were made. Original copies have sold for as much as £600 (and above) on eBay. The success of Heard It All Before resulted in Jamie being invited to appear on Geoff Gascoyne’s album Songs of the Summer. After graduating from the University of Reading in 2001, Cullum—who is completely self-taught, bar a few piano lessons as a youngster—released a best-selling album, Pointless Nostalgic, which stirred interest from Michael Parkinson. Following that, in April 2003 he signed a contract with Universal, for three albums, who beat Sony in a bidding war for the prodigy. Cullum then started recording his second album, Twentysomething, which was released in October 2003.

Happy Halloween everyone, Trick or treat.... and enjoy great music. This week s Band is Mando Diao. BIO - http://www.last.fm/music/Mando+Diao Borlänge, Sweden (1999 – present) Mando Diao are a rock band from Borlänge, Sweden. According to the band, the name Mando Diao has no meaning at all, but rather appeared to band member Björn Dixgård in a dream. Their sound is influenced by The Animals and Oasis. The roots of Mando Diao date back to 1995 when Björn Dixgård was a member of a band called Butler. Band members came and went; four years later, the remaining line-up chose to proceed more seriously in their musical efforts. Björn Dixgård and Gustaf Norén locked themselves up in a summer house and spent six months writing songs. Let us know what you think, Cheers, Dan
