A group of music lovers who belong to the long-established 'The Haven Net' gaming community (http://games.thehavennet.org.uk), consisting of a wide range of tastes, personalities and nationalities....

The Haven Net (http://games.thehavennet.org.uk) is a web community focussed mainly around social internet gaming; anyone is welcome if they want to play games with us or have a mature discussion, introduce us to something different or even just come in for a bit of a chat.

We have been established for a long time - the original Haven Net was founded in the late nineties/early 00s around a Half-Life: Counterstrike clan, before moving onto a major operation on the Natural Selection (http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns/) modification for Half-Life. From there, things have taken off and diversified - we incorporate everything from Battlefield 2 to World of Warcraft as well as everything in between.

Currently, our community stands at around 65 or so active members, but we are always looking to build upon that :)

Been quiet on here, I'm still listening to my Goa Trance but also looking for something new ... preferably ambient so suggestions welcome.

Also, Future Sound of London are making some good new shit for those of you that like experimental electronica and ambient style music. Environments 2 takes it all the way back to the organic sound of the sublime 'Lifeforms' but with some strings and orchestral swoops rubbed liberally over it. Not out on CD yet, but available for download from www.fsoldigital.com in the stores bit.

Naebody frequents this place much anymore, but it's good to see lots of people still keeping their last.fm charts going. I'm changing the join policy to 'member approval' instead of me approval, maybe it won't alienate people so much that way. New music you lot might find interesting: Sasha - Invol2ver. A minimal techno style album with electro overtones where Sasha takes tracks from artists including Thom Yorke and Ladytron, pulls 'em apart, puts 'em back together a bit differently and seamlessly mixes them all. Result - a danced up album accessible enough for most people to enjoy.
