  The West Pole made me realise why i like The Gathering. And it wasnt nessercarily because of Anneke. It really thrusts foward the idea that the music is strong, no matter who is on vocals, because its vocals are not the best thing about it.

  I'm absolutely in love with the last few albums of The Gathering (their trip-rock melancholy downtempo stuff). I can't seem to find many other bands that are similar to this. Portishead just aren't "as good". Can anyone recommend me music similar to (new) gathering? The bands listed in similar artists aren't very helpful. Please message me if you know of some! :)

  The West Pole will match any album The Gathering has put out. Anneke is my all time favorite singer BUT she was not The Gathering. She was one member. No band makes better music.
