The Back Horn are a four-member Japanese band formed in April, 1998 and are growing into one of the powerhouses of the modern Japanese rock scene. Decadent yet hopeful lyrics, a destructive yet melodic sound, beautiful and impassioned compositions... these are all distinctive characteristics of The Back Horn. The name of the band comes from a misreading of "back hoe," a farming tool which destroys in order to create. Coincidentally, "The Back Horn" sounds like the Japanese word for explosion, which fits the band well.

1998年4月に結成された、4人組の日本人バンド。 J-ROCKを中心とする音楽活動を行っている。退廃的な歌詞、破壊的なサウンド、狂気じみたライブパフォーマンスが持ち味だが繊細で美しい楽曲にも定評がある。バンド名の由来は建設作業機器のバックホーの読み間違いから。「バックホーン」と「爆音」をかけているとも言われる。
