Straight edge hardcore bands you think are overrated.

Which straight edge hardcore bands do you not get the appeal of? :o

I'm not trying to start arguments or anything, so please don't take what I say about these groups personally.

My list:

-Ten Yard Fight (I can't take them seriously. At all. xFOOTBALL OMFGx)
-Judge (Boring.)
-Youth of Today (Don't like Ray Cappo's vocals very much.)
-Set it Straight (Boring.)
-Throwdown ('Venom and Tears' sounds like edge Pantera. No thanks, lulz.)
-Liferuiner (Uh...ew.)

I know this isn't a defense thread, but the guys from Liferuiner might be overrated but their first LP I think is hella tight and has a really good message, regardless of who is making it.

I don't think anyone should stand up for Liferuiner, Their on their 3rd full line up in a year! I mean how do you call that a band? They've cancelled two UK tours, it's a joke, like a proper joke, it is'nt even real just taking the piss out of the dying hardcore scene.

One, Have Heart do have songs about the straight-edge lifestyle. Just because the lyric "STRAIGHT FUCKING EDGE" isn't in every song doesn't mean the song's not about abstinence.

Two, who the fuck cares if they sing about it anyway? Monster X were a straight-edge band, they had at least one song that was pro-legalization for cannabis. You don't have to make straight-edge the only thing in your life to actually BE straght-edge.

Just bc you don't sing about straight edge doesn't mean that you just aren't a straight edge band. It's a way of life not a music genre.

I agree 10000% with Liferuiner being fucking retarded and not hardcore.
