  Of course it depends of life conditions and experiences what things we find threatening, that's why you and I can't find consensus in this matter. However, note that not every NSBM bands are racist. At least in Europe many of those bands are proud of their homeland and heritage and they're still not pushing that their race is superior to others. Often pagan beliefs are very strongly included, too.

  I don't think anyone is trying to tell you what you yourself can and cannot enjoy, Haunted North. I certainly am not...just be realistic and don't be surprised if some people get offended by some of your music. Just hypothetical of course. I have no idea what you play really. A band's message may be immaterial to you, but it isn't to everyone. I personally don't care if you want to listen to Barney the Purple Dinosaur doing Pat Boone covers. As scary and wrong as that would be, it's your life, and you can enjoy Barney the Purple Dinosaur if you want to. But...just realize it isn't as simple as all that for everyone, and some of us really have taken some a serious load of scary crap from time to time from our local neighborhood KKK and/or Neo-Nazis etc, so we don't really have the luxury of saying "it's about the art, not the politics." *shrug*

  I respect everyone's personal views but I simply don't have to agree with them. I build my own opinions. However, I think most of your opinions about NSBM's great 'hatred toward others' are stereotypes. Bands get NSBM stamp very easily if there is only word 'Aryan' or something. If you love listening to music only because of lyrics or views of it's creators it's ok for me. But DO NOT tell me what I should/should not listen! For me music is not politics, it's art.

  About the NSBM thing, I don 't think the group leader is being too strict at all. I don't think it's enough to say it's "about the music" and not the ideology. NSBM IS ABOUT ideology. You can't get away from the truth of that anymore than you could if someone decided they wanted to start posting lots of "death metal style" Evangelical Born Again Christian Rock. I'd rather keep the pointed agendas out of it whatever they are, especially with something like NSBM where it's been fueled by so much hatred toward others.

  I definitely have to agree with HauntedNorth. Just because i listen to NSBM doesnt mean that i share in their ideologies. I dont even have anything against the people involved, its their opinion and they're entitled to it. Besides, good music is good music, period.

  Tuhyk, your opinion is abit too strict. There are many people who are listening to music for non-ideological reasons, like me. It doesn't fight agaist my conscience to listen even NSBM. Good music is the only thing that matters, not bands ideology that I don't need to agree with.

  Kron05 Ok, I have no problem with arguing, we may open a thread in the forum for this discussion. Anyway, the whole ideology behind this "genre" is so sick it is not funny anymore. I have a strong personal opinion about people involved. And it's not a positive opinion.
