    lets just pray

  • No problem, as long as the information gets here ;-).

I can promise Neurosis will bring some special acts: one of their heroes from old time will probably appear for the first time since they broke up.

    STRYPER?!

edit: on wikipedia this can be read about influences: 'Neurosis have cited Hank Williams, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, King Crimson, Black Flag, Joy Division, Rudimentary Peni, Celtic Frost, the Melvins, Die Kreuzen, and Amebix as inspirational.'

most of them wont see the light of the day anymore. maybe celtic frost but that would be somewhat .. strange after last year. i certainly dont hope for amebix. i'd say i wont depend on that list for options.

  • another vote for Kinski!

    Weedeater

What you got back home, little sister, to play your fuzzy warbles on?

Yes we would love to book Weedeater, and SOurvein (and Buzz*ven come to think of it). But we have to book 'little' American bands in a tour, we can not pay to fly them over for a one off. Omega Massif is a big yes, that will probably happen. Rosetta we are nog in contact with, OM is difficult, if they are in Europe around that time, we will definetely book them.

About bands like Merzbow, Sunn o))) even The Melvins: those are not possible in our butget anymore. Thoes bands play in de artcircuit now, i.e. the subsidiced circuits. In normal circumstances we can afford them anymore. Sometimes - like with the Melvins - we can work something out, but mostly we can't.

  • ISIS
    Red Sparrowes
    Storm of Light

Uhm yes, the Swans would be mindblowingly great. Unless you meant Botch

I did not mean Botch: and Swans, yes that would be great! It's never going to happen, but still great! Swans is the band that started it all for me with Greed and Children of God in the 80s. But I've spoken to Michael Gira and Jarboe through the years and no, this really is a reunion that is never ever going to happen.

And Kayo Dot: no thanks. I'd never heard of them a year ago and checked their albums but no: not our cup of tea.

respecting your budget ;);i recently heard Humanfly from the uk, they're quite interesting. Amesoeurs is a band worth noticing as well. they exceed black metal with elements of postpunk, new wave and a few weird herbs of themselves. oh you also have IZAH from tilburg, very rosetta-ish. i dont really like the whole 'post-metal' thing, cant really stand the grunts but they do a good job in getting that roaring sound i like.

edit: i've seen you've been listening to Darkspace. i have had the luck of seeing them live a couple of years ago. they took me on a cold, unfamiliar trip. even without drug-abuse beforehand.

I saw SUMA and ASVA this year and both bands are more than Roadburn worthy, what a performance especially by ASVA. The true drone band to destroy your ears.

@dpdd yes, Darkspace is very good! I've only heard their albums, hope they willtour again.

  • Endless Boogie - Their album is great and I understand they don't play live very often, so it seems like a typical Roadburn band.

Gunslingers - A great new band from France, Julian Cope loves them.

Not a typical Roadburn band, but very good. With (ex-)members of Electric Wizard, Gonga, Mogwai, Esoteric, Pantheist..

  • Triptykon, obviously!
