Get ready to wander into perpetual sadness...

Carline Van Roos - keyboards, vocals, bass. Matthieu Sachs - guitars, vocals. Norman Müller - drums.

BIOGRAPHY:
The band's first recording was a 4 track demo CD « Among Lost Illusions » which was recorded in March 2005 and self-produced as a promo format.
Few months later, Remembrance starts writing new songs and signs a deal with Total Rust music.
The first album is called « Frail Visions ».
« Frail Visions » got released by the end of September 2005. The band also contributes to a compilation album : « Assymmetry ».
In October 2007 the Finnish label Firebox adds Remembrance to their roster. The much-awaited second full-length of the band, Silencing The Moments, was recorded during summer 2007 and released in April 2008.
In June 2009 Remembrance finds its permanent drummer in Norman Müller (Scythe). Together, the band begins to work on their third studio album which gets recorded in the following summer and autumn.
The new work is called « Fall, Obsidian Night » and features 7 tracks where power and acoustic parts meet, where the listener wanders the disembodied woods.

You wrote a lot of warm words about David and mentioned about his relations with fans. How much I regret... I've never written to him! Because of ordinary, absent-mindedness, damn. I can't change anything. Now, I can do no more than remember about his creativity... Tribute to David is a wonderful idea. Certainly ,you'll manage to do this. By the way, thank you a lot for all these good news, none but waiting for your new music. You really surprised me with Carline's age, she looks younger about hmm.. 7 years, therefore my question :P

About Remembrance, we will soon start working on our 4th album, so I suppose we will have something ready before next autumn. I think the next album will be a little more extreme than our previous works with less female voice, that's how we feel like composing at the moment, so it will probably sound like that. Also, we are considering dedicating a full song to David's memory, but again, that just an idea, we first need to succeed in making a song good enough for honoring him.

That’s a honor to me to have the Remembrance group related to Woods of Ypres, Woy is my favorite band and I feel really sad about losing David...this is a terrible loss both musically and humanly. I don't think I know anybody in such a big band that was so friendly and devoted in keeping in touch with his fans. Thank you for the compliment about the upcoming Lethian Dreams album, our music deals a lot with nature, I'm glad you get this feeling while listening to it. Carline is 30 years old, I don't think that's old, but that's not so young either, we created Lethian Dreams almost 10 years ago, so we are getting a bit older than what we used to be !

Hi Matth, it's a big shame that I write now, I should do it month ago,really sorry. First, I decided to relate our group with Woods of Ypres, you know how much David meant to people with specific, melancholic musical sensitivity. A giant loss... I keep my fingers crossed for your Semper Dolens record. I'm sure that it will be wonderful. As for Lethian Dreams I heard the new song and watched mysterious preview of new album... still close to nature... I ache for this album ! What's more ,when I was watching this I was thinking about Carline and her eternal sadness, truely doom Girl ;p Can you say to us how old she is? She looks young so it's incredible how mature music she is able to create. Any news about Remembrance?

Hi all, I'm glad you like Semper Dolens, I haven't updated the website for a while, so I'll give you some fresh news about it. We have started again working on the first album, it will feature the 4 tracks of the demo (re-recorded with professionnal sound production) + some new tracks. Considering the number of bands in which we are involved, we are rather slow in the process but I hope we will have something finished in 2012. About Lethian Dreams, We have finished recording our 2nd album entitled "Season of Raven Words", it will probably be released first quarter of 2012. Remembrance and Lethian Dreams are both excellent projects . Does anyone know where I may find the albums of Lethian Dreams ? I own all three Remembrance albums, and I would love to add "Bleak Silver Streams" and "Just Passing By and Unreleased Requiems" to my music collection. For the record, "Silencing The Moments" was the hardest for me to track down... but I'm glad I found it ;] .
