This was intentional. My sole goal when i applied my bid for "moderatorship" was to first 'free up' the term indie and restore it from marketing catch-phrase to it's roots-Independent. And free it up from MUSIC to all encompass Media, period, that is released by labels a part from the industry Top labels/studios. That's my BIG change..and one felt was necessary to unglue the group from a dirty halo of 'elite-ism" that was having members paranoid they'd get the axe if they weren't pure enough, if they happened to one night queer out to some Beyonce or GaGa while at home getting ready to go out with their friends on the town. Secondly, Independent (indie) as I know it houses ALL genre's of music/style... and most of them are deviation from Social Norms. To put it plainly-They aren't cookie cuter fashion/music statements... They have edge rather it be Riot Grrrl Punk or Obscure electro or neu folk. It's all subversive and art. And the big companies want nothing to do with it...

So this group should include all forms of independent media (Art,Music,Film,Books,Style,Thoughts) that Queers love. It can all be discussed, swaped and consumed HERE. That's my spin on it. And that Icon above is definitely INDIE. Once the groups overall image and intent is changed... i'm willing to bet the radio will too. Enjoy though..and feel free to contact me.
