• Favourite Jethro Tull album

For me definitly Thick As A Brick it is the best
Jethro Tull album and one of the best album I completly know
Only two songs and both a little longer than 20 min

  • I'm quite partial to Songs From The Wood; it was the first JT album I'd heard in its entirety. The acoustic sounds really tie the album together into a whole.

TaaB is not actually two songs, Sir-Pommes, but one, divided to fit on two sides of an LP. The non-purist in me kind of wishes they'd remastered it as one track without the fade-out/fade-in when they put it on CD.

Thick as a brick by far, following a passion play and as third Aqualung.

Yes, Yes is one of the greatest bands alltime!

Thick As A Brick makes the race for me.

You may know what I don't know
But not that I don't know it
So you will have to tell me all

    Oh I didn't know that

  • I first got into Tull when Heavy Horses was just released, so that's kinda remained as my fave ever since.

Love peace and truth incorporated for all who seek

Thick As A Brick is the obvious choice in my mind.

  • So far then: four (and a third, master_bate30) for TaaB, one for Songs, one for Heavy Horses, one for Aqualung (that's presumably your vote, Tiggrrr), one for Benefit, and a third each for Passion Play and Living in the Past. I guess there's no surprise except for Heavy Horses; I'll have to listen to that.

At one time I would have said Songs from the Wood, or Living in the Past...but then along came a great live album: A Little Light Music and it has remained one of my favorites ever since it was released.

  • I'd say Thick as a Brick and Passion Play are right up there but Minstrel in the Gallery is my Nr.1

I've pretty much grown up with one Tull album, Broadsword And The Beast, which I think is a pretty good album, though I'm sure people who have more knowledge on the band will pick faults with it. I just got Living In The Past, and I love the title track, I need to give it more of a listen to be honest.

Gotta be Thick As A Brick but I listened to Aqualung and Stand Up yesterday nad both are good. Stand Up seems to be more Bluesy.

  • Thick as a Brick is the obvious choice, I just don't think any other album holds a candle to it..

Hands down for me it's Aqualung. I consider it a masterpiece among all rock music, and among my favorite all time top 20 or 30 albums. Funny thing about Jethro Tull is that I don't really like them much post Thick As A Brick. I really like their early stuff, but it is more bluesy than proggie to my ear.

Has to be Thick as a Brick, although on certain days nothing beats A Passion Play. That leaves Aqualung in third place, and Benefit sadly out of the Top 3.But you're wrong, Steve: you see, it's only solitaire.

  • Thick as a Brick for me...actually my favourite ever, followed by Minstrel in the Gallery, Songs from the Wood and Aqualung.
