    Back To Basics-Christina Aguilera
I love the sound, love the theme, love the voice, I have a certain space in m heart for Here To Stay(my anthem) , Make Me Wanna Pray (so reminds me of the guy above) and Save Me From Myself ("", and her voice on this is so untouched and softly sung she impressed me, oh if she sang Hurt like this I'd have liked the song, reminds me of the guy above), other songs that own me are, Understand (relate, me and here have trust issues and our guys put up with it), Without You (really made me think of hell without Shane) tongue.gif , Ain't No Other Man(""), Candyman (possibly my second fave song right now), Enter The Circus/Welcome (I get off of this kind of stuff, I love that kind of music), Back In The Day (I just enjoy it), Nasty Naughty Boy (she does though not pull off the sexy vocals any where near the level Britney can) and I Got Trouble (my anthem)
and Slow Down Baby, I love fuck off suiter songs, this definately owns me!
    Single Choices:
Save Me From Myself (to show her real vocal chops and for me), Make Me Wanna Pray (like Ain't No Other Man, but thats besides the point, its a great song), I Got Trouble/Nasty Naughty Boy (was featured on ANOM/
but regardless she could really show off her theme with these songs) , Understand (Catchy as HELL!!)

    The Best Damn Thing-Avril Lavigne
Avril takes it fun and loved up on her third record, which is a nice change,
I enjoyed it, my fave song off it easily Contagious, (damn this guy-can make me smile/cry) then Keep Holding On (definately a awesome song, I love these kind of songs, but this is definately top three "Friendship/Love will always be there" Songs) Then I Can Do Better (Definately one of the best Screw You I'm moving on songs EVER!)....and just basically she is having fun, great shit to dance too, enjoyable, positive, upbeat, everything a girl could ever want, her sweetness is cute, never thought I'd see the day, the only real ballads on here are Innocence and When Your Gone and their not BAD, their actually pretty cute, not cheesy at all, the girl does not lie!
    Single Choices:
Runaway (definately a possibility, everyone relates), I Can Do Better (it would be a shame to not release it), Contagious (pretty please just for me), One Of Those Girls (which is her equilivent to Dignity and Stupid Girl)

    Dignity-Hilary Duff
I love the productions, she definately does best with this kind of production, she definately does the precise opposite of Avril Lavigne, she matures it, accepts that shit happens and makes an album for a bad day, No Work All Play is PERFECT for those kind of days, one thing I would say would be buy in on CD, Happy has a significantly big difference on CD then with MP3, It doesn't really have a Fuck You I've Moving On song, it does have Happy, which is somewhat one of those songs, but the real beautiful tracks are 1-6 and 8, 12 and 14!..a significant amount, its easy to make dance routines with, and is definately a reinvention for her, Never Stop + Gypsy Woman own me the most, they both are awesome to dance to the most, guess what they are about, but she didn't lie, the song I feel deal with her break up the most significantly is I Wish, it's almost her equilivent to Everytime by Britney Spears, but I do find myself wanting the feel good stuff of Metamorphosis, she deals with THAT change is I Wish (I Wish I Was Like How I Was Before)....
She sounds so pissed of on this record, its pleasureable, I KNEW she could do it!!....
Dignity is my favourite song today:
    Single Choices:
Gypsy Woman(I can see the most awesome video for this in a casino with dancers and the cemera being used like based on the back beat, and showing what Gypsy Woman/Dancers/Prost's do in clubs, SO EFFING AWESOME) Danger (the Toxic Theory, Girls want one, Boys want to be one), Between You And Me (so the Do You Want Me? of this record), Never Stop (feel good, would have the cutest video)

    Jul 14 2007, 4h47 por BritneyFanFeva

I had my b-day yesterday, which was awesome, I got Back to Basics and Can't Take Me Home (Which means I have all of Pinks records) and The Best Damn Thing
all great, I've only tried Back To Basics and The Best Damn Thing, The Best Damn Thing is the best record ever!!!...so is Back To Basics, only 3 bad songs on it, Oh Mother, Hurt and Mercy On Me!...I haven't given Innocence a good shot, but I'll like it, I suprised by how much I Enjoy Back To Basics (Second Disk is slightly better then the first, I get off of the Circus/Live elements)

    Love,
    Katy
    I'm getting Dignity on Monday!
  • When I'm Gone...

    Jul 9 2007, 6h57 por BritneyFanFeva

I'm not here, dispite the fact nobodies asked, my computer died a week ago, thats why I don't have any new songs played, though I did get
    Intimate and Live-
    Kylie Minogue
    +
    Showgirl Homecoming Live-Kylie Minogue
last week, as an extended b-day present, 2 weeks before my b-day on friday the 13th :P
my fave tracks on I+L are:
the whole middle of the first cd, and Say Hey, Confide In Me, and Drunk on the second, the covers and I love the jazz version of I Should Be So Lucky!
Homecoming has better sound and her voice sounds better on the CD's as a whole, I loved all the sections in different ways except of the Pop Paridiso, just didn't gel with me, Dreams was preformed fantastically in the tour, I loved the Samsara, Atheletica, Dreams sections the most though!!
Her voice is definately in my oppinion better on Homecoming then Intimate + Live, but thats just me, and the voice she uses during the whole of I+L is the same on as Say Hey over-rall and it doesn't fit, but thats just me, I love the CD's and are glad I have them
    Love,
    Katy
    I WILL BE BACK!

so basically I've been living on YouTube!

Position. Artist - Times on top 10 (Number ones) *peak position --- Tracks in top 10 (number ones) *peak position

    1. Kid Down - 5 (1) *1 --- 5 (1) *1
Climbing six positions Kid Down claims the first place for the first time putting Linkin Park down one position. Their debut album And the noble art of irony has grown on me a lot since I first got it and is a very stable production that doesn't have a singe bad song. In fact many songs are downright awesome such as, Split This Cake, Pretty Teeth, Tocar110%, Cut/Paste, TocarWho's Your Villain? and Nothing More, Just A Lie just to name a few. If you havn't heard them yet check them out, a lot better then a lot of the other bands that are out there.
    Current Overall position: 26

    2. Linkin Park - 3 (1) *1 --- 15 (2) *1
Refusing to leave the top positions Linkin Park spends their third week in a row amongst the top two. This week much thanks to In the End and What I've Done whom are still getting a reasonable amount of plays and are both to be found in the top ten tracks.
    Current Overall Position: 30

    3. Miss Li - 6 (0) *3 --- 5 (0) *2
This energetic jazzy artist climbes two positions this week even though her latest album was a let-down. Some of her tracks are still energetic-explosions of well... energy.. energy and fun. Check out TocarMiss Li, TocarLate night heartbroken blues, TocarI'm so poor won't you lend me some money, I'm glad I'm not a proud American and TocarSeems like we lost it.
    Current Overall Position: 23

    4. Melody Club - 3 (0) *3 --- 1 (0) *9
Melody Club seems to be comfortable with the fourth place and stays there this week aswell. The Music Machine track Covergirl was to be found in ninth place in the top ten track list.
Melody Club does a great job mixing synthbeats and easygoing lyrics to create fun and open hit songs.
    Current Overall Position: 40

    5. Takida - 17 (6) *1 --- 20 (1) *1
Takida are pretty much the allmighty kings of my charts having been there 17 times. This wek was not an exception getting fifth place and all, but what do you expect when I have every single song ever released by them.
    Current Overall Position: 2

    6. Lasse Lindh - 1 (0) *6 --- 2 (0) *6
I decided to really give Lasse Lindh a chance this week and it scored him sixth place. I can't really say I care for his new album too much but the songs En högerkrok och riktigt blod and Varje litet steg are damn good.
    Current Overall Position: 109

    6. The Sounds - 1 (0) *6 --- 0 (0) *N/A
I never really liked any of their albums when they were spawning hits all over sweden but since I found one of their albums in the library and decicded to listen to it I've started to love them more and more. The progress they made from Living in America to Dying to Say This to You is remarkable and I can't wait for a new release by them.
    Current Overall Position: 64

    8. Avril Lavigne - 10 (0) *4 --- 3 (0) *5
Avril is just like Takida one of the regulars in my charts, however she's never been closer to being nr. 1 then fourth place.
The main reason that she's here is for nostalgia, I listened to a lot of Avril while growing up.
    Current Overall Position: 12

    9. Lemon Demon - 1 (0) *9 --- 1 (0) *4
Well yeah.. I started playing TocarI've Got Some Falling to Do on repeat. Awesome song with some really funny lyrics. The song ended up nr.4 in the top ten tracks and was enough together with someother random plays to get him a spot in the weekly top ten.
    Current Overall Position: 82

    10. Arctic Monkeys - 6 (0) *3 --- 4 (0) *3
The song Mardy Bum has replaced Riot Van as my Arctic Monkeys crack this week. The guitarplay in that song is just awesome. I love the intro so much.
    Current Overall Position: 32

Notes: Sahara Hotnights, My Chemical Romance, Lars Winnerbäck and Bodies Without Organs from last week didn't make this weeks charts.

Position. Artist - Times on top 10 (Number ones) *peak position --- Tracks in top 10 (number ones) *peak position

    1. Linkin Park - 2 (1) *1 --- 13 (2) *1
Linkin Park does not only stay on the list for the second week in a row they also climb one position from second to first. Being number one in the artist list was not enough and they also hold the top position in the top 10 tracks for the second week in a row. What I've Done did however take the number one from the Hybrid Theory track In the End. As a matter of fact Linkin Park totally slaughtered all the other artists this week having 7 tracks in the top ten. All of this is very awkward for me since I totally hate Linkin Park and only checked out Minutes To Midnightfor the sake of the fancy coverart, but now I'm stuck. Damn.
Linkin Park - Minutes To Midnight

    2. Sahara Hotnights - 3 (0) *2 --- 2 (0) *7
Sahara Hotnights climbs 61 position this week and takes their highest chart position yet much thanks to the pop-punky albums Jennie Bomb and Kiss & Tell. I was expecting them to turn out number one this week but now that the cards are turned it turns out Linkin Park slaughtered the rest of the list and Sahara Hotnights turned out only to have a single track in the top ten. Alright Alright (Here's My Fist, Where's the Fight?) from the album Jennie Bomb was to be found at position seven this week.
    Sahara Hotnights - Jennie Bomb

    3. Takida - 16 (6) *1 --- 20 (1) *1
A veteran, Takida's been in the top 10 none less then sixtenn times, number one six times and is very much the most common band to find in my top ten.
They did however drop two positions this week, perhaps because since I've grown tired of their new cd Bury The Lies but they still uphold a decent position in the charts thanks to some of their older cd's.
    Takida - Bury The Lies

    4. Melody Club - 2 (0) *4 --- 1 (0) *6
Melody Club climbs 23 positions this weeks and reaches fourth place, their highest chart position yet. The Music Machine track Covergirl made number six in the charts. I do however belive that they will have a chance on climbing a position or two next week.

    5. Miss Li - 5 (0) *3 --- 5 (0) *2
The lovely Miss Li drops one position this week evem though she recently released her new album, God Put A Rainbow In The Sky the follow up to Late Night Heartbroken Blues that was released only six months after. She didn't even have a single track qualify into the top ten but has potential to climb during the next week.

    5. My Chemical Romance - 9 (0) *2 --- 7 (0) *4
A band that is almost all the time in or just outside the charts but that never seem to get to be on the top is what My Chemical Romance is. The album Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge has been having an increasing number of plays since I got it and the track TocarYou Know What They Do to Guys Like Us in Prison has been my most popular choice, much because of the lovely intro.
My Chemical Romance - Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge

    7. Kid Down - 4 (0) *7 --- 0 (0) *N/A
Kid Down is not a newbie in these charts having been there four times but they've never reached the higher positions and they score their highest position this week climbing one position to number seven. But these are however also a climber and they have the potential to steal the number one from Linkin Park next week since I've been growing more and more fond of their album And the noble art of irony. I mean who would not love an album with that name?

    8. Lars Winnerbäck - 7 (1) *1 --- 4 (1) *1
The swedish songwriter has been a more and more common occupant in the charts, especially now in the summer.
His music is always clever, with strong refrains and is perfect for the cold summernights.

    9. Bodies Without Organs - 1 (0) *9 - 0 (0) *N/A
A complete newcomer in these charts being here for the first time. The 2006 album Halcyon Days with the tracks TocarSunshine in the Rain and Sixteen Tons of Hardware has gotten a steady stream of scrobbles this week.

    10. Arctic Monkeys - 5 (0) *3 --- 4 (0) *3
Arctic Monkeys debut album Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not has been growing on me for quite some time and they climbed 12 positions this week much thanks to the track Riot Van
  • Mariah needs to get back to Daydreaming

    Jun 20 2007, 12h05 por empoor

There is no one who has a better voice than Mariah Carey. Her vocal reach is astonishing, and only living legend #2 Whitney Houston has a voice that comes near to the sound Mariah utters out of her mouth. They both have been through enough in the past, and while Whitney is currently struggling to get back to business, Mariah did a huge comeback in 2005 with The Emancipation of Mimi.

Well, okay. It was a comeback in that we heard her beautiful voice again, and she experienced more commercial success (only a Mariah album can sell 3.5 million copies worldwide and still be called a flop (Glitter)). But for me, Mariah hasn't come up with a classic Mimi album in decades. Don't get me wrong. I love all her work (even think Glitter and Charmbracelet are fantastic), but nothing can beat the classic albums of her. Like Daydream.

Every freaking song on that album is perfection. From start to end, all songs are beautiful. There is no strong commercial sound on the album, everything is pure Mariah. She even wears clothes on the album cover, now that is saying something. Well, that album cover maybe defines the whole album, now that I think about it. Just look at it. She's pure, no heavy makeup, her hair all-natural, no revealing clothing, no focus on *certain objects*. And that is what Daydream was. An all-natural Mariah Carey.

With all the hyping of todays industry, I don't think we'll ever get natural Mimi back. She has changed since the album, significantly. Fame has made her, well, a bit crazy I guess. I love her, but sometimes she acts like it's all a popularity contest, and she's the queen, empress and goddess of it all. And I guess it is all just a popularity contest nowadays. Too bad, 'cause I'm craving for some daydreaming music.
  • The Dreams Of the Impossible Princess

    Jun 1 2007, 10h59 por BritneyFanFeva

This week I have been rapidly falling in love with Impossible Princess , its just rubbing me the right way, its like I relate alot to it, from Did It Again (self-analytical don't be stupid your not like that), Breathe (the most obscure part of it "The ache is in my bones
and its hard to feel alone"
Too Far is almost catchy to me right now, "Trapped in the snare of my mind". Limbo reminds me of those momants when you just want to be sadated or you feel disconnected to who you really are, Some Kind Of Bliss and Cowboy Style, the key love-songs on this record who save it from being trashed like !Brea*away by K*lly Cl*rkson! and none of these songs are really negative and just deal with life, Jump reminds me of Overprotected but WAY WAY more relaxed! I Don't Need Anyone is unexpected, its kind of about how love feels then venturing out and finding another love and searching for "The One"...and she just carrys of a way more adventurious vocally and really belts it out (Well placed mind you) in some points of the record like Dreams, Too Far and Limbo!...the only crap song on this record is Through The Years, rubs me the wrong way!...Cowboy Style was like my instant fave, I got the record of Some Kind Of Bliss but seeing the Homecoming Performance of Too Far sold the record for me!
    <<<<>>>>><<<<<<<>>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>
and Dreams is like my poem, I relate to it the most, its almost my anthem, I have the 2 verses here!:
To have any man but to love only one
To wake with the moon and sleep with the sun
To be a sinner a saint, a lover and friend
To know a beginning but never an end

To fly in the ocean, swim in the skys
Believer in truth, defendant of lies
To be of purest love, the deepest pain
To be lost and found again and again and again
    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
To know the power of wealth and poverty
To taste every moment and try everything
To be hailed as a hero, branded a fool
Believe in the sacred and break every rule

To give into pleasure with no boundaries
    Living in chaos and harmony
To feel the touch of a man, a woman's caress
To know the limits of torture and tenderness

These Are The Dreams Of A Impossible Princess!

  • Because Amerie Loves It

    Mai 15 2007, 13h27 por empoor

It has been two years since Amerie has released an album. Touch was a good album, but what I missed from that album was the overall quality. The album had some wonderful songs, like Tocar1 Thing and TocarTalkin' About, but the rest was mwah. Not good enough to be named "wonderful" or "superb". And for an artist with a voice like Amerie (original and inspiring) that was all too bad.

So, hoping to hear only superb songs on her new Columbia album, I started listening Because I Love It, and I was more than pleased with what I heard coming out of the speakers. Not only did she make a wonderful, superb and good album, she made one of a hell goddamn inspiring classic wtf-this-is-unimaginable-good album!!

I love the new Amerie sound, '80s inspired and full of funky beats. With more sophisticated sounds, like on Paint Me Over, and incredibly original sounds on tracks like Some Like It. And as usual, the first single doesn't really reflect the rest of the album. Even though TocarTake Control is a very good number, it's not the sound that incorporates the whole album.

Oh, and she even rocked the intro of the album. Many artists just put in intro's and interludes that don't add much to the rest of the album (with the great exception of Janet Jackson), but Amerie's Forecast (Intro) is a classic on its own. Only makes me wonder how good the track could have been if it wasn't an intro. The bonus tracks are also well put together. Losing U is wonderful, and fits the rest of the album, while Streets Alone (iTunes Bonus) is a great track on its own, but doesn't really fit into the rest of the album. But hey, that doesn't matter. It's just a bonus track.

Yes, I'm still in love with Amerie. She's talented, original, funky, great, beautiful, and much more. This album is the best she has put out yet, and I'm just addicted to it. She jumped from number 24 to 4 in one week after I got the album!! Now lets hope the album gets the success it deserves, because many wonderful albums haven't got that combo lately. (I'm referring to Janet's 20 Years Old (Last.fm still has the incorrect title) and Kelis' Kelis Was Here.)
  • 5 Fantastic Records

    Mai 13 2007, 5h39 por BritneyFanFeva

    1. The High Road-JoJo
This record is incredibly cohesive and has a good message, its a fun record, with good tracklist and all the tracks are beautifully vocalized and expressed, she showed great growth in it!

    2. Britney-Britney Spears
Timeless, I put in on my CD player yesterday and it sounded just as good as when I got it, not a bad song on there, my charts pretty much spell it out, its a fantastic reocord

    3. Headstrong-Ashley Tisdale
Look out for this record in my most-played lists in the future....it does remind me of the aforementioned record, it has a similar vibe, it is also cohesive and it has a real good message overrall!

    4. Light Years-Kylie Minogue
This record is cohesive and she uses her FULL vocal capacity on it, as opposed to her latter Body Language record, which is mostly wispery vocals, she really impressed me with her power in this record, its a love-song record in the best sense!

    5. A Little More Personal (Raw)-Lindsay Lohan
This record is also cohesive and covers alot of emotions, the generally vibe of the record is, dispite what you might hear is Living for The Day, 4 songs on here are really focused on it (Fastlane, I Live For The
Day, La Bella Vita and A Little More Personal)

All of these records I love more then 7 tracks on them and I can't choose faves and all of them I believe would keep most played tracks above the 20-30 play mark (most significantly with Britney, then The High Road, - both with 60-40 plays on average) Headstrong, which will blow up my charts (Specially with We'll Be Together) Light Years and A Little More Personal which both have most tracks in the 20 play bracket!!!...they also all feature the 3rd track being a Break-Up song!

    Love,
    Katy

Knew it'd change, knew it knew it knew it *edits best album ever list*
