    This is no contest. I love Britney, but Christina is easily 10 times more talented than her and her music is a lot more meaningful, IMO. Not to mention, Xtina is waaaay hotter.

    I personally think Britney is the most overrated person on the planet in looks. I mean, she is fat and her face is nothing special. Christina has class and she is so glamorous now. :P

    Xtina has more #1 singles, more grammies, is more talented, beautiful, a better songwriter, she is intelligent, brilliant and IS NOT fat :D

  • It doesn't matter about record sales, it doesn't matter about which is more well known.

    There isn't much contest here, because it's unfair to compare them because they are both completely different. They were the same back in the good old days with their first albums, but Christina went in a completely new direction after that.

    If they have to be compared, then it can only be Christina - she's a better singer, better song-writer, more creative, more honest, classier, sexier and so on. Britney would never be able to keep up with her.

    Some may say that Christina 'oversings', well Britney doesn't sing at all. If she does it's through her nose creating a awful nasal sound.

    But it's like I say, Britney is great at being the trashy mass appealing pop machine, whilst Christina is great at being a real diva.

    These days you should be comparing Christina with Mariah (fantastic vocalists who do what they want), and Britney with Madonna (shit vocalists who go for mass appeal).

  • What world are you in? Britney isn't more popular than Christina! Record sales in the past may seem to point to that fact, but as for who has the most respect by the public, media and music industry? Christina does. No one has respect for Britney.

    Don't get me wrong, they are both brilliant at what they do. Britney is a great entertainer and dancer. It's just that Christina does something better.

    I personally respect Britney a lot more than Christina, and I love the song "Toxic". So Britney for me, sorry.

    i love all of Brit's CDs, while w/ Christina i've only liked Christina Aguilera & Stripped, i like 3 songs on Back To Basics, and thats it. i have to go w/ Britney, her videos r better, shes more fun, and at least Britney doesn't think shes Marilyn Monroe

  • Britney didn't write 'Toxic'.

    All Britney does is sing songs she's given, and not sing them very well. Oh yeah, she shakes her toosh for her videos. I know Britney did a little co-writing for her latest album, but it was on a very small scale. 'Everytime' which she co-wrote, was a good song. But it was a good song because of its simplicity.

    Britney isn't an 'artist'. She's just an entertainer. Christina is both.

    I'm coming across biased here, and probably elitist, but the point I am trying to make is that they are completely different. Yes, you could compare them five years ago, not now.

    They are both BRILLIANT at what they do, and I'll say it one more time, but they do completely different things.

    I really can't understand how people can prefer Britney over Christina. Spears is so untalented, and yeah, she co-wrote some of the songs on her latest album "In The Zone"... which was her worst album. I mean wtf? Songs like "Showdown" or "Early Morning" are one of the worst ever.

    She is beautifully, has talent, a great voice and many power.

    This is a subjective post. It's all about someone's taste, and whilst I think Britney is a pile of shit, I can understand why people like her. Britney does have talent, it's just different to Christina's. You cannot deny Britney's ability to dance and keep an audience. She's primarily an entertainer, which requires its own talent. Christina is a singer and musician.

    Some listeners are not looking for an incredible singer, and some do not care where the material comes from, it's just as long as it sounds good. Britney's material is produced for mass appeal, which is why her record sales are higher. An album made by Christina is completely different because she is releasing what she feels like doing. Making an album dedicated to jazz and blues was never going to be a commercial darling, but Christina did it anyway because she felt strongly about it as an artist.

    It's easy to see then, why some people just simply do not like Christina - the music she creates is of an aquired taste as opposed to Britney who makes music just to make money and score number one hits.

    so what if Brit doesnt write her own stuff, its still hot. i also totally disagree, In The Zone is my fav Britney album. Britney also isnt untalented, shes an excellent dancer, and an ok singer, but its the fact that her songs r fun that i love

    Pointless.

    Take a step back from it and look at the bigger picture and discuss the issue coherently. You are not going to convince people that your artist is better than their one.

    Yes, this is for voting. But at least explain why this artist gets your vote.
