Users of the Pidgin Last.fm Plugin.

Everyone who uses the Pidgin Last.fm plugin and tells the world what he is listening to is welcome!

Current version: 0.4 - please upgrade before reporting any bugs!

Before asking any questions concerning problems with the plugin, please make sure to read the docs and recent notes on the website at http://pidgin-lastfm.naturalnet.de !

The Pidgin Last.fm plugin is under development and has suffered from heavy API changes in Pidgin lately. MusicTracker seems to be an alternative, so feel free to use it. Howver, advertisement for other plugins is not appreciated and will be silently removed.

The plugin is now rewritten in pure C so it can be installed and used jsut like any other plugin - please stay patient ...

Reagrding Perl versions: There are inconsistencies between Pidgin and Perl versions at the moment.

Pidgin 2.4.x => Perl 5.8
Pidgin 2.5.x => Perl 5.10

@lorpi: Debian's release politics are quite tight, therefore the version in lenny got useless as the Last.fm API changed but they don't distribute version 0.4 :( ... You can install the new version in your home directory under ~/.purple/plugins so you don't have to touch your debian install.

Excelent release! Congratulations! I'm testing it now on Pidgin 2.5.2 over Ubuntu 8.10.

i won't upgrade because want to have a clean debian-dist; is anything wrong with the version in lenny ? i am using version 0.3b of the plugin. It looks that the plugin does nothing at all. i've read the doc and set it up correctly i think

Last.fm finally put "now playing" information in the web services - you can update the plugin from http://pidgin-lastfm.naturalnet.de/download/lastfm.pl !

Musictracker is kinda oversize and used to crash Pidgin quite often. The plugin is now rewritten in pure C so it can be installed and used just like any other plugin!
