A group for all those, who're into Phideaux' prog-rock. A mixture of evolving melodies, anarchistic soft-sounds and psychedelic folk-rhythms balancing through the mind.
Join us at the edge.

Phideaux is a loose anarchistic troupe/recording project between songwriter Phideaux Xavier, drummer Rich Hutchins, and a revolving cast of friends. We seek to make mysterious and melodic music for the sheer love of it. We put out albums so we can meet other musicians who like music that makes you think, and to network with friends, fans and colleagues. Our music is funny, serious, doomy, derivative, innovative, and great for out-of-body trips. Space folk, classic rock, progressive rock... call it what you will!

Phideaux Xavier once said: "It is hard to make music that is too prog for rock, and too rock for prog..."

The new album is great! Microdeath Softstar is an amazing piece of music and I love the violins and brass. They compliment the melody beautifully. The whole album is good but that track is my favorite.

hey man, thanks for putting this group together. whoever did it -- the fact that you used our graphic on white made us realize we had to make our new album cover white. It was like a revelation. Thanks for that. hope everyone likes the new album.
