  So happy to find this group! Elliot Smith was so uniquely talented. I was hooked on his music the first time someone played the album XO for me. His lyrics pop into my head all the time - "You spent everything you had. Wanted everything to stop that bad. Now I'm a crushed credit card registered to Smith. Not the name you call me with". Truly a musical genius. One of the saddest things about Elliot not being with us any longer is that we'll never hear how "From A Basement on the Hill" was intended to sound.
