Ever look at the "music" tab and see all the top songs/artists for the week? It's a bunch of mainstream tripe and generally abrasive preppy mixtape music... Why do people with such brutal taste in...

This group is dedicated to the constant battle against bad taste. Too many people only listen to the music they listen to because it's a part of their "scene." They don't care about the quality of their music as long as it's what they're told to listen to by their MTV brainwashing machines. People should stop being so closed minded about what they listen to, and diversify their musical tastes beyond their social scene's predetermined genre.
That said, go listen to something you've never heard before.



We realize that musical taste is completely subjective and what defines "good" music is different for every individual. We also realize that it's painfully obvious how few of today's artists are even trying to make compelling, original music. We aren't picking on any specific genres. Having made that point, we also realize that defining well-made, high quality musicianship is quite OBJECTIVE. Good music has to be well thought out and well produced. No musician should be making money unless they either have talent or some very original ideas. Enough of this PR-oriented corporate fucking music!!!!

We have respect for all music, as long as the artist has equal respect for us by not insulting us with prefabricated bullshit.

    If you're in any way into Balkan/Gypsy type of music, I reccomend checking out ОГНЕОПАСНОРКЕСТР (alternatively ОГНЕОПАСНООРКЕСТР, it's kinda hard to determine which one is the right one). Hard to find, but well worth the effort.

    hey n00b grouper. i'm glad to join a group that i determined to cut the crap out of the commersal world & showing the way. it's been to long to hear a real good artist with proper productive talent & merit. so many times ive heard THE WORST TRiPE EVER like cascada, basshunter & highly over rated bands/artist not even wanting to try to produce an ounce of orginality or talent reaching the highest heights & getting played everywhere (ANNOYING me everywhere i go; can't escape it). so thanx for the surgestions to broad my horizons. ive recently added company flow because of this group & urbanpineapple & i have say it's the best thing ive heard in awhile =)

    Word. I have to admit sometimes our charts are a little heinous. There's always gems in there though :) Often I find the mainstream artists that land on our charts tend to be the ones that have a bit more artistic merit, or at least diversify their sound somewhat. Anyways big up to new members! Don't be shy! Recommend something we haven't heard! :D

    Whist tripping on my favorite hallucinogenic substance, I was introduced by my roommate to the acid jazz/house fusion sounds of St Germain. I encourage all of you to check him out. It's like chilled out house combined with a captivating neo-jazz style that's perfect for pretty much any situation. It's so anoying that many people in here thinks that they are better than the others just cause they listen only Radiohead etc. (I'm not saying that it's bad music, I've never listened it so I dunno.) And that all the rest of us listen only bad music cause we don't like their genre. I listen what I listen, and I like what I listen :)
