y'all certainly know this rap. Some of the words are not quite clear to me. Perhaps someone can explain them?

"And it's all about money
ain't a damned thing funny
you got to have con in this land of milk and honey"

Meaning: money plays an important role in life and that isn't funny at all, so you gotta have a CON(NECTION)?, connections to make it??

(BTW, first I understood "you gotta have a CAR in this land of milk and honey" - which is also true...)
