This is for people who like mainstream music and really rare music!!

This group is for anyone who loves listening to music that is mainstream, but also likes music that isn't that popular. Whether it's pop, rock, metal, techno, hip hop, pop, jazz, etc. this group is for you!!!

I made this group because so many people bash mainstream music for being horrible, generic, and stupid. And people who like mainstream hates rare music cause it isn't good enough for them. This group is to show popularity doesn't matter and it's still good anyways!!

I never understood what mainstream actually meant (then someone explained it to me), thank god, cause the music I'm listening to is really not popular in my country, of most of the bands no one's heard so they call me hipster. But on the Internet, there are many people with mutual love for some of my favourites, so here they call me mainstream. WHAT DOES IT MATTER, I love my music either way! :)

Fucking hate the pretentious hipster kids who automatically hate mainstream music! Don't you get that reacting to band's popularity this way is most prejudicious behaviour of all! Most of my favoured artist split into following categories: Mainstream international rock/pop bands and local bands that are almost in mainstream here but not in the world. I am not denying that much bands that I love are mainstream but this is because only good music breaks into mainstream. Lifeless blabbing and raw garage quality is something that everyone can produce and it doesn't even imply having a creative mind or will to make music as you lack of ambition. Now, don't switch on the "black-white thinking" mode and be like "what a pussy lol defending his autotuned lil wayne, black eyed peas and rihanna crap" Listening to "whatever is on the radio" and liking mainstream music are completely different concepts. Whoa, bout 1000 letters here but at least I got it off my chest what was bothering me... :)

Owl City is perfect example of this situation. Before he went mainstream, people are all like "OMG OWL CITY!". Then when he hits mainstream, they start bashing him. What's the difference, he's still the same and he's making money. So what's there to complain about?
