Gothic and Nu-Metal. I haven't heard any band that I liked in this genres so far.

metalcore/hardcore. it all sucks, pure and simple.i would even go as far as to say they aren't really metal at all, just some faux genre that tries to associate itself with metal for some reason. as for why i hate it, well thast's simply, both genre's are full of whiny, prepubescent retards who high-kick each other and cup microphones and squeel. what more needs to be said?

Goth, symphonic, pure doom and metalcore easily falls into that category. Oh yeah, industrial as well.

but for me, any kind of core or nu - metal. other than that, i like most types of metal... Black, Death, Thrash, Melodic, Melodic Death, a little Power, Heavy, etc.

Well, I've managed to avoid hearing these *core styles, so I'm going to go with Death Metal. As soon as they start growling longer than a few words, I lose interest.

I think all styles of metal make up an important part of metal in general. If I had to pick a genre though I guess my least favorite would have to be black metal. The black metal scene just takes itself to seriously sometimes and the subject matter depending on the artist and song can be to extreme for my liking.

black metal<<<the only band i might actually like is deicide and brujeria but most of the band in this genre suck ass...also i hate how people who end up getting into it just adopt a whole new way of life...like fucking scenesters...i believe music shouldn't dictate the way u dress or act...its retarted

mallcore/screamo<<<fuck sometime the riff sound really sic but they ruin it by the way they sing...but also wat sucks about this genre it seems like every single one of them learned the same shit on guitar

I don't like nu and thrash metal. I also hate everything followed by the word 'core'. I think hardcore/metalcore are more inspired by screamo (which definitely is NOT metal) than metal anyway. I don't dislike ALL nu metal, but most of it is just boring. The same goes for thrash metal to be honest. Kreator is nice though, but I think (and everyone will disagree) that some thrash metal isn't that much different from nu metal when I'm talking about atmosphere. I'm not an expert on the genre though, I haven't found bands I really like (and I've heard quite a lot), so... why would I learn more about it.

Oh; I HATE brutal death metal. I can't stand the vocals and the music is more about speed and technic than.. music in my opinion.

Doom. Well, I appreciate the genre, I just can't get into most of the stuff. But I do love Mar De Grises.
(medieval) Folk. Do not want usage of crappy medieval instruments. Thx.
In addition, I mostly avoid NS/satanic/christian stuff.

(Deicide are death metal - someone calls them brutal death but I don't agree - and Brujeria are death-grind... Like Carcass, but of course Carcass are a lot better!)

Anyway, there is plenty of great bands that in order to create a great live shows use to wear masks or to act strange! Black Metal didn't created nothing... Thinking about Genesis? It's just like going to the theatre. It's just show. But when it comes to listen to good music, black metal is fuckin good shit. (of course there's also pleny of awful bands)
