  Hi folks, as you probably know there are also other groups trying to achieve exactly the same thing - getting separate pages for artists with identical names. Have you ever got a positive reply from LastFM or is all this collecting of artist names completely in vain ? Just wondering. The other groups I'm referring to are: http://www.lastfm.de/group/We+want+separate+pages+for+artists+with+the+same+name! and http://www.lastfm.de/group/We+want+separate+pages+for+artists+with+the+same+name%2C+II Yep, they had to open a second group due to the many artists affected :-(

  I wish the site would fix incorrect song names more, but differentiating same-name bands would be a good starting point, too.

  Wish Last fm woulg get its shit together and put these artists in the right section nothings worst than playing a song and seeing some goofy pic of someone who is NOT THE RIGHT ARTIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Grinds me GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

  My duplicate artist today is "Aria", a Paramore-like band. Apparently theres a metal band and some Jap-pop girl singer with the same names. Weak.

  My most rescent horror tale is with 'Moss': There is the British Doom Metal band Moss and a (well known) Dutch 'indie pop' band with the same name. If you choose 'Moss radio' even if the correct Moss is selected (Doom metal in my case) the next songs played are 'indie pop' or even Dutch bands like de Dijk... And then there are bands that you wont even get to play, like the US Doom band 'Revelation' which are swapped every time for a disco ensemble. My question is: What are tags for? It's darn easy to select by name+tag :P

  yeah.. i have this issue as an artist here... it's hurting my fans, the other james murphy's fans, and spoiling my enjoyment of Last.FM as a fan on here myself.
