Hi everyone!

I downloaded MM a few days ago to give it a try (I was using Songbird before) and I just listened to a couple of songs. The icon was green, I entered my login and password and yet, it doesn't scrobble anything.

Maybe it's going to scrobble the songs I listened to a few days later, I don't know.

Does anyone know why?

By default MM doesn't scrobble tracks if they aren't in your library. You can disable that in the options with the "Submission rules" button.

My songs were in the library, the Last FM icon was green. I unticked "Submit played tracks to build my Last FM profile". Will it work now?

AHHHH. My tracks have stopped scrobbling and I can't get them to work. I've installed the latest versions of MediaMonkey and the MediaMonkey scrobbler and unticked all the submission rules but it still just says "Handshake No Connection To Last.FM Handshake failed".

Actually, even spotify won't scrobble. I think there's something wrong with my last.fm account.

It is not that difficult. Tools > Options > Last.fm service

Check "Submit played tracks to build my last.fm profile and get music recommendations". You can check the other two boxes if you like.

Then, click the "Submission rules" button and select which filters you would like to exclude from scrobbling (usually Audiobooks and Podcasts). That's it.

I just found out that some of my songs won't be scrobbled and I can't find out where's the problem. The songs are in the same folder as the ones which are scrobbled, last.fm mark is green, but still... If I listen Cascada it will show it on my last.fm page and if I try to listen Shinedown, it won't show it =(

Probably they are on your exclusion list. Go to the Last.fm options in MM and click the "Submission rules" button. If you want to scrobble everything, don't check anything for exclusion.

I try instal scrobler plug-in on my netbook with Windows 7, I open MM like Administrator and then pop-up on me - ERROR #438 - Microsoft VBScript, withSDB.Tools.FileSystem.MoveFile.....do you know?

There's just one issue with this plugin that needs sorting out, it doesn't use the proxy set in the Options for MM or have it's own option to use a proxy.

My Ears are bleeding, but it's a good kind of bleeding, like when you stubbed your toe against a gold bullion or something.

A true solution

I really wanted to find a way to use MediaMonkey AND the Last FM system tray. I don't like the native scrobbler.

DJ Sizzly provided me with a solution that works like a charm. It's the winamp plugin, but using an older version of it lets it work with newest version of Media Monkey (3.something or other).

Hope this helps people out.

I believe I've tried everything now but it just won't scrobble... the last.fm button is green, username and password is correct, the submission rules are correct...
