1) Download this plugin to Mediamonkey/Plugins: http://www.thorrune.net/filedump/gen_wa2_scrobbler.dll 2) Install Last.fm, but do not install winamp plugin or make last.fm think you have winamp at all. You can still have other plugins, I think. 3)Start MediaMonkey, and Last.fm should start automatically, PROBABLY WITHOUT EVEN KNOWING WHY!! (LOL) 4) Start scrobbling. could it be any easier?'

If there are are other people like me, which were fiddling around with different installations of players and plugins and now are getting asked to update the "winamp" plugin everytime they start mediamonkey, just start the registry editor, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Last.fm\Client\Plugins and delete the key containing the winamp information.

Finally got it to work. I had downloaded "gen_wa2_scrobbler.dll" from somewhere else than that link on the opening post. But after downloading the right file it worked like a charm. Many thanks!

Don't know why but last.fm won't scrobble the songs played by MM :( got the latest version of it (i think) and did everything described to make it run (it worked a few months ago) anyone got an idea?

I use MM 3.1 and it scrobbles perfecly now. Until i've found this thread i tried different winamp plugins (newer verrsions of gen_wa2_scrobbler.dll, gen_audioscrobbler.dll, ...) but it didn't work. Even with this solution it didn't work at once. Only when i uninstalled the last.fm app and did a reinstalling of it the monkey starts to scrobble. Maybe you should try that.

Worked like a charm, it's a shame this doesn't show you're using MM instead it says for me that I'm scrobbling with iTunes.
