Hi guys, i was wondering when i started getting those blue stat bars below my profile. Do i need over 100 plays? I like the idea of all this, but sometimes i skip a track thinking 'this might look bad on my profile ;) '
First, it takes a little while for the database to process all the submissions from people. Probably somewhere in the 20,000 song/day range gets submitted and needs to be properly calculated, so it might take a little while.
As for tracks looking bad in the profile, now you could use the profile editor to edit playcounts of different songs to 0 if you need to.
I play a lot of things on my iPod during the day and sync up at night. Will that all reflect or does it only upload what it sees me playing that day inside itunes?
The whole idea is that it is a real time counter of what you listen to while at the computer. For statistics on all iTunes plays, you really should try musicmobs. I really enjoy both for that reason.
I like the scrob since it gives you a live count and you can see what you're interested in recently as opposed to overall.
as long as you've been using only your ipod during the day (not itunes) you can submit ipod tracks after you sync your ipod. just choose "update ipod" from the iscrobbler menu. once you play a track in itunes, however, you lose all the data from ipod tracks played before it. check out the forums for more about this.
when do i start seeing stats?
