  Actually WAVVES puts on an amazing show, and I think his music is so damn catchy I wish it didn't sound so bad!! LOL but I sig it nonetheless. and YES - classic groups were indeed Lo-fi, but not because it was an artistic statement or a movement! thats all they had

  Haha brendanvox you're right, and more: you don't always have to be lo-fi to sound good neither. No necessities. It's just nice to listen to lo-fi music from time to time. But you're right about wanting to sound authentic. What does authenticity mean anyway? Yes, to have your own morals, of course. But even these can change on your life-path. Personally, I like some loads of kitsch from time to time, but also simplicity.
