    "Paint it Blue!"?

    I know, it's not a very creative title. I'm just not that creative a person. ^^;

    I've created a style for Stylish(Firefox extension) which I thought I should share which changes the banner and other elements of the site to a blue color. It's still pretty basic and doesn't change much of the other colors, but if you would like to suggest any changes or integrate it directly into the site then that would be great. ^.^

    Paint it Blue!

    Edit:
    I've created a Greasemonkey script which will replace the globe image, next to the language/help/other links. It also attempts to change the color of the music players.

    The script is located here. Enjoy! ^.^

    If you know any javascript coders or flash makers, please ask them to lend some insight on how to get the color of the music players changed. I'm not a pro, and that part just has me stumped. ^^;

    This going to restoke the fires of "New Last.fm looks like Facebook", because with this, it does.

    But I'll let you guys at Last.fm decide what to name it if it does end up on the site. I don't really care what it's called here, as long as it looks good I'm satisfied. ^.^

    its cool...unfix the width and it'd be perfect    I could unfix the width, but I think I'd have to change a lot to get it to work without squishing certain objects on certain pages, and I currently don't have the time or patience to find out what exactly I have to change to get that working. If anyone has any ideas, feel free to contribute(or create your own style; it's not extremely difficult if you know a little CSS and don't mind digging through CSS files).

    Urm. The "Log out" | "Inbox" etc ones could be white or light blue (like the light blue underneath your username above the links) and the sidebar links could be the same colour as one of the dark blues in the header?

    @runwithvampires: It's fixed, for the most part.

    The globe image is still red, but I thought it looked ok so I left it. If you want me to change that, or you see anything that wasn't fixed with the latest update, just let me know.
    (It'll be updated in about 2 minutes. Just need to get it up on userstyles.org)

    FinalEdit: Appears I can't change the globe without changing the DOM, which I think would require something like Greasemonkey(another Firefox extension).
    Edit3: If you'd like, I can swap the default globe image for red with the default one for black, which would be easier than making my own image. Alternatively, you can click "Paint it Black" and it will do it for you. ;)
    Edit2: Fixed missed technicality. ^.^
    Edit: Just noticed I didn't get the active link color on the left links, I'll get that fixed asap. ;)

    Yeah the Paint It Black globe looks much better so you could swap them, although if it's too much trouble I have no problems with just clicking the link ^_^

    I've created a Greasemonkey script which will replace the image. Unfortunately, you(or, at least, I) still see the red one for a moment before the page finishes loading. I think this is a side effect of the script being run after the page is loaded. Again, the alternative would be for you to click the link for the black version of the page, or, if you like, I can add to my userscript a line which removes the image altogether.

    Regardless, the script is located here. Enjoy! ^.^

  • I like Subterranean Homesick Blues or Behind Blue Eyes, even if Fred Durst tried to ruin the latter. However, of the suggestions thus far presented, I'll second Kind of Blue. Blue Monday is also good. Nothing against Madonna, but "True Blue" is a common expression and people might not get what it's a reference to.

    If I decide to re-enable Greasemonkey at any point I may use this. Looks nice.

    Thanks, everyone, for the naming suggestions. If anyone else would like to suggest a name, please do. I think I'll give until September 5th, and I'll decide then. Until then, enjoy the new look and suggestions on changes are still welcome. ^.^

    I've been tinkering with the site's colors, and I've concluded that it's a pain to change anything besides the banners using stylish... Not impossible, just a pain.

    I've got a pretty nice looking color scheme going(using mostly darker greys and the blues which are already in the theme), but there are quite a few glitches with it at the moment, so I'm not putting it on userstyles.org just yet. I have to go to bed now, but I'll put a link to a text file which you can use later on. Good night peoples. ^.^

    I've updated that experimental style that I linked to in my previous post. You should be able to get the new version from the same link. ^.^

    The update fixes the layout of some of the pages, the way the Library page is displayed, as well as the images behind some headers(which had some white because of the way I saved them). There is still a problem with the display of the library(other pages are squished against the page being viewed), but it's beginning to take shape. :)

    If you're daring, download and take a look(you can always remove it if you don't like it, or tell me what you don't like about it)... if not, I'm not sure why you're in the Beta forum. XD
