Artist & Label Connections and Recommendations

You can request any Artist or Label Connections for our group in this thread.

Well, and I guess that you can also request something to be removed (but such request should obviously come with some strong reason to support it)

Well, and why not recommending us something we might not know about. You can nourish our musical hunger in the Recommendations section

Should Rufus Wainwright be a connection? Antony and The Johnsons? Or am I veering too far towards pianos and vocals there? Hmm?

The National definitely need to be added as an artist connection, and their label Beggars Banquet would then be a logical label connection.

Thanks! They are all in now. How could I forget Rufus and Antony!

I need some help labelwise. There aren't many label connections in yet...

I like these bands and I believe they all are from Ireland, though some are form the north:

    Greg Murray
    The Sleeping Years
    The Saw Doctors
    Language of Flowers
    Into Paradise
    A House
    The Holsteins
    Hey Paulette
    The Harvest Ministers
    Ghost of an American Airman
    The Frank and Walters
    Crumb
    Catchers
    Brian (Ken Sweeney)

Not everyon's cup of tea of java though.

    Thanks,

I have connected them all. I had to remove some artists but Irish artists take priority.

It's a shame that there's a limit to the number of artists you can connect to the group. I don't want to see anyone dropped who was once considered important enough to connect to the group, but I like that there is an emphasis on bands from Ireland.

Others for your consideration include Whipping Boy and Power of Dreams. Both had a release on a major label, but they also had some independent releases as well.

Also, record label Setanta could be added.

    you're recommending yourself?

Coach Finstock: There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

I can't recommend the new Tennis album enough... It just sounds like it has always been there.
