    Please help us with this!!!!

I, too, am having this problem. Perms are correct, and variables are correct. I don't get it. I'd really like it to work on my own server for the folks on a forum I run.

I just get the generic error written into the script:

    http://www.killcreek.com/scrobble/scrobblersig.php

THANK YOU SO MUCH IF'N YOU RESPOND!

  • I have this same. Exact. Problem.

I just can't seem to figure out what's wrong. Mabye i have a chmod set up wrong?

Edit: Using the one by lozzd works fine it seems, but i'd like it on my own space since i'm too poor to donate and i wouldn't want to burden him anymore:

Might have something to do with the caching mechanism. It's possibly that your browser isn't rerequesting the image for some reason. Possibly because it doesn't think it has changed. I'll look into this.

i think i know why it isnt refreshing. you have to link to the folder where the image is, so that it runs the index.php file every time you request the sig (which is a lot if you are visiting big forums)
i guess you guys refer to the .png sig, which can't (obviously) refresh itsself all the time because its an image file.
I know that on a lot of forums, you have to have a extension behind your imagefile (except here in last.fm)
    mine works perfectly.
there should be some kind of way that the index.php gets updated every now and then, automatically, not manually.

  • I host my own sig and oddly enough, I do NOT have this problem. I wonder if it's browser related or server related?

I never thought that people might do this.. but thinking about it now, it is possible that people think that they have to link to the cached image file. If you do that, then it'll never update, as the index.php or sig.php will never be called. You have to actually link to the index.php or sig.php files, acting as though they ARE the image. They output the image to a file purely for caching reasons so that they don't have to regenerate the image again for a couple of minutes. You should NOT use tags or <img> tags and put the cached image address in their. That's not how it works.

I just wrote that incase that is what people are doing, as it never occured to me that people may do this.

Make sure you have chmodded the folder with the cache file to 777.

mhmm..seems there is an issue with IE for me...with firefox it works perfectly now...:)

  • Same thing is going on for me. I use FireFox and it never refreshes. I use:

    {url=http://www.last.fm/user/collegepunk/?chartstyle=shabby2]{img]http://imagegen.last.fm/shabby2/recenttracks/collegepunk.gif[/img}[/url}

Just like it says too. Any idea's?
