thrillseeker01 It occurs to me that track names are track names everywhere else,but on Last.fm then they are tags.If You use the term tags then everyone will know that You are talking about Last.fm.No problem! The people who should be fixing Their track names are i tunes and others such as Amazon etc.I have recently bought 2 box sets (mp3 format) and not one single track was named correctly. I had to re-tag every track,and I didnt realise that I needed to do it untill I saw where Last.fm had put the tracks,so it`s not always possible to "fix yr tags" before uploading.

mikeedols Casey, you may be thinking that the avatar is ambiguous, but the Group description suffices, and i see no reason as to why shouldn't use the current avatar, the word tag is widely used, but the avatar still conveys the meaning

uzi666 I strongly support punishing either 1) the assholes that scrobble in allcaps early, or 2) devs for making the system case-insensitive for ASCII characters, or preferably 3) all of the above.

iMecha_Light you may be right, but using other terms is unfeasible, eg. "Get Your Damn Track Names Right", "Get Your Damn Artist Names Right", etc.... i don't see any other term that can be used to describe song details generally and concisely

Its ironic that none of you are actually using the term "tags" correctly. It doesn't matter what you define it as; that's not what it is. Even the avatar you have refers to actual TAGS.

Grosseteste What's wrong with so many people who troll here? If they don't care about tags and just want to listen to the music, fine - but why clutter up Last.fm? The point of being here is largely to hook up with people who listen to the same music, and to be introduced to new music -- but if you don't use the same tags as others who listen to the music, then that purpose is made impossible.

B)/ and problem solved (and writing 'solved' I mean I'm obsessed enough to care, enough to search for it and fix it, enough to even delete wrong scrobbles -yes, I did it already- but not enough obsessed to argue or not listen at all because of it... and the world is much easier)

Korean music tags are even worse than Japanese... less popular and their weird habit of several names depending on where album's been released... 동방신기 and 東方神起 are both official and there are romanisations as DBSK and TVXQ which listeners use...

TerykBlut It's not fair that Japanese artists have their pages divided into romaji and Japanese, that disrupt their statistics. If you agree with the unification of the artists, avoiding the pages with the names in romaji (with exception to those who actually have the names in romaji or other languages), join this group. DDevilized for me it's "artist a feat. artist b - song 1" and not "artist a - song 1 (feat. artist b). a featured artist IS NOT AND WILL NEVER BE part of a song title. my 2 cents.
