    So i'd like to tell you a Chinese detective story in English:)

  • How long had i sleped?
    It seemed meaningless to think about this now.I opened my eyes,finding myself lying on the ground of a railway station.
    Now im a policeman.But i still cant be as heartless as i wish to be.Some sad stories---they will never go away.They would become nightmares forever.



    The first story: The Seventh Reader

  • It was 1999.
    I was 21 and a student in a college.

    Autumn was approaching.The students walked out of the classrooms and towards their dorms.One of the oldest dorms is the second dorm.It is said to have been built by the Japanese during the second World War.The boys lived a random life here.

  • One night,I went to bed as usual.The sound of the wind was so clear.There seemed nothing wrong.While what we didnt know is,from that night on,everythint would be changed.

    I was suddenly awaken at mdnight by the loud noise coming from the outside.I opened my eyes only to find that there was no one in the dorm:"What the hell is going on?"I said to myself.I put on my clothes and stepped out of the room.

    All of the boys had gathered around the corner.They looked towards the toilet with frightened look as if there were a monster standing there.
    "What's wrong?"I asked my mate Jim.He looked so scared that he couldnt even make a sound.
    "What on earth has happened?"I cried.
    Lukas responded in a rather low voice,"Looks like...Zac was killed by someone in the toilet."

  • I felt grief.Zac was one of my best friends.We liked making fun of each other.He had just teased me some hours ago and then i had to see his body.It's unbelievable.

  • The next couple of days,we all were talking about Zac's death. However,as time went by,it seemed we were ready to get back to normal life.We were young anyway.We partied,shouted,laughed like always."That's the way it's supposed to be.Just leave the case to the police."I thought.

    It was a Thursday afternoon.I was about to leave the classroom when my professor called me for help.He asked Jim,Tony,Nate and I to carry loads of books upstairs.

  • When we finally reached the 24th floor,we saw a beautiful lady standing in the office.Oh,that was Emma.She's also a law student.She icely said thanks in a response to our help.

  • The next day was Friday.Heavy clouds blocked the sun as if it was a sigh of something.

    Suddenly we heard a scream coming from the third floor.

    It was because of Emma.

    Emma was found to have been killed on the balcony of the third floor.
    As it began to rain cats and dogs,the forensic doctor could hardly check out the exact time when she was murdered.
