  I remember how in the old days, MTV used to be a well-respected alternative and even artsy channel, with a great variety of music and programs... but then the mainstream (read: major record labels) got a hold of it and the music got worse and worse. Until suddenly, the music virtually disappeared at all... and now, all that's left are the most despicable and intellectually insulting pieces of shit brainwashing programs. I don't even own a television set anymore, but every time I start zapping channels at a friend's place, and I come across MTV for only a few seconds, I feel like I've lost a few billion braincells. I honestly believe that MTV is one of the worst things ever to have happened to humanity (especially to the youth today) since the holocaust.
