Sometimes I can't stop listening to a certain song, it happens every once in a while. A while ago it was Just Like Honey by The Jesus & Mary Chain, after that it was Holland, 1945 by Neutral Milk Hotel, and right now it's Peach, Plum, Pear by Joanna Newsom.

  • Rain by The Humpff Family, In the past there has been Please call me, baby by Tom Waits, The Hedgehogs song by the incredible string band, Inflammatory writ by joanna newsom, The world stood still by Dick Gaughan, I could go on, but I won't.
Oh, and From A Few Streets Over by Ron Sexsmith, I'll go away now.

Music doesn't make the world go round but it sure makes the ride a lot more enjoyable.

Most recently it's been "Casimir Pulaski Day" by Sufjan Stevens. Also Panda Bear "untitled track 3" off of Young Prayer. It's barely over a minute long and it's just a simple chord progression but it's so playful and catchy. Which brings up the Animal Collective. Pretty much everything off of "Feels" got an obsessive amount of air time back in October/November. A recurring one is "This Beard is for Siobhan". No need to remind freak-folkers who wrote that one.

  • One Million Winds by St. Peter's Cross (glacial ghost)

I just did a show with a band from New Hampshire called St. Peter's Cross. One of my favorite songs they have is called One Million Winds. Their show was fucking amazing. Saws, chimes made from a swing-set, banjos, moutharps, and an intersting assortment of other instruments made their show one of the most intersting and beautiful shows I've seen in a very long time. Please catch them if you can. It truly was a beautiful experience.

One Million Winds has been caught up in my nest with the most welcome of hearts lately. Check them out and catch a show!!! Sincerely. Check them out! http://www.myspace.com/glacialghost

  • I felt your shape - The Microphones

I know from time to time The Microphones will just realease a bunch of shit into the music world but this song is so simple and seems have a tremendous amount of honesty to it. It's hard to explain, but you're just sure he means it.

  • Joanna Newsom - The book of right on

can't get it out of my head.
