With a passion for music and culture, host Jason Bentley diligently serves up the hypnotic pulse of modern city life and club culture.

Jason Bentley is KCRW's Music Director and host of Morning Becomes Eclectic. Jason began as a phone volunteer in the main office of KCRW in July of 1988 before heading off to college on the East Coast for a few years and then returning to attend Loyola Marymount University and DJ at the college station KXLU. He was recruited by former KCRW Music Director Chris Douridas after a softball game between the two stations in 1991 and he took to the airwaves starting in the summer of 1992.

For those who need something else.
Indie, rock, world, singer-songwriter, electronica. Whatever it may be, it doesn't even have to be in a language you speak, so long as it sounds good. :)

    I met Jason at a rave called Tranceform From Beyond in the early 90's and never stopped following him... he is completely amazing as a live dj as well as a radio dj. And I must credit him for my extensive taste in music that is near perfect! ;)

    I probably listen to KCRW probably about 15 years now on and off. Just move away from the area, but still try to catch the radio online once in awhile. I used to morning becomes eclectic a lot with Nic Harcourt. I listen to Jason Bentley once in awhile in the evening though. Yeah just found this group so I want to find like minded people with eclectic music taste

    KCRW is excellent. I love watching the recorded sessions of the various bands I like (of which there have been many!) and Bentley's voice is soooothing. He's like the white version of Barry...erm White.
