  • What is a song that you have heard recently that most people would consider "eclectic"?

Hi, I'm new to the group. I figured I could try to start a new thread or join the revolution with a pitchfork :)

    What? You lie!
  • "Love Me" by Madarocka

If I had to put it in a genre I would say it was...

    African Hip-Hop/World

    I guess that's ecletic.

    Gulag Orkestrar

Balkan/gipsy folk rock...not an obvious mixture but it sounds bloody good.

I would say Mikail Aslan- tewt(the trance), it is a mixture of kurdish ethinc music with the western chillout music, very spiritual.

  • Mombojó, Deixe-se acreditar. Its a brazilian band, some knowledge in portuguese would be better to understand the lyric, but i think the sound is good to listen even not understanding anything.

band: MOMBOJÓ (say w/me MOM(mother) BO (bonus) JÓ (same entonation Josh)
    music: DEIXE-SE ACREDITAR

the band website has the whole album for free DL, try it!

  • Robert Vadney, greek born, however lives in US . ,sound : trance/house ; lyrics : emo . like Away From You or his upcoming singles In Your Arms

a really eclectic band i heard a few weeks ago the first time >
the pond pirates from salzburg, austria.

they do a mixture between ska, rock, jazz, alternative, funk, pop and the music really sounds like a soundtrack for a pirate movie ;)

    nice to check out...

  • I can't seem to think of a genre to describe Mindless Self Indulgence.

May the Force be with you.

  • No gunk, no junk...
  • Hmmm

Led Zep IV not one song, but I've seen it on heavy metal lists though they pull from blues, other rock subgenres, and even folk.
"Rock Beside You" The New York Rock and Roll Ensemble (in my top ten great rock bands)

Later Miles, all over the place.
